We got two waffles, a travel mug coffee refill, and two tiny cups of hot chocolate. The bill came to $26 -$28. A bit pricey. I know the waffles we're $8 each, but didn't look at the cost of the other items. It seems like the cost if the other stuff must be in line with other coffee shops in the area. It was not at all busy, there were several empty tables, nevertheless it took almost a half hour for two waffles to come out if the kitchen. They were very good waffles, but if average size, and with no toppings (I didn't opt for them). A half hour to produce two waffles and put some syrup and butter into small cups seems excessively slow. The location is not great due to parking, and the place is very small. There are some interesting looking chocolate items in the case, but given the other options in the area, nothing on this first visit was compelling enough to make this a place I go...
Read moreI was looking for a specific type of candy WITH peanuts and called a few local chocolate shops. One said "We'll have that in 2 weeks." One said "We have a peanut candy, but it's spicy and not my first choice." Madison Chocolate Company said, "Ooh, we have a Peanut Butter Chew-Chew that people are going nuts over!" The drive there was almost as enjoyable as the atmosphere, all windy roads near the arboretum, and I LOVED the covered off-street parking! That's a HUGE bonus for me because I like to run errands with my dogs and leave the sun roof open for them. The service was excellent. The decor has a cozy yet airy, comfortable-with-a dash-of-whimsical vibe that made me wish I could've stayed longer. I'll definitely be bringing my bestie and hubby here for a coffee &...
Read moreThis café is delightful. Cozy atmosphere, great jazz Playlist and the employees there were incredibly cordial and very helpful in explaining the different assortments of chocolates and coffees. I had a latte which was surprisingly good. Extremely smooth with fruity and foral accents at the end.
The Turkish coffee chocolate is a great blend of coffee, spice and chocolate. The star anise does not overpower the rest of the chocolate and the crunch of the coffee bits compliment the buttery smooth texture of the ganache-like chocolate inside. The mini caramel turtle was not too thick in texture and had a satisfying salty accent and struck a nice balance with the crunchy pecan on top.
5/5 would come back again. Can't imagine cafes get much better than this...
