I went back home to Madison Wisconsin to visit family. One of the places I definitely wanted to stop by. Was the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream on Monroe Street. When my kids were toddlers my husband, I used to bring them here every week. It is even better than what I remember. Brought back lots of great memories. The shop has a great variety of ice cream flavors and very clever names for the ice cream flavors. I highly recommend stopping by here and grabbing yourself a cone.

Go to a different location. This one you takes a minimum of 10 minutes before the workers even notice you’re there. If lucky enough to get your ice cream before you die, you’ll then notice that you should’ve just gotten a tub of Ben &Jerry’s since the cone you just bought is half empty despite specifically asking, and paying, for extra. Seriously tho, just get an ice cream from McDonald’s and you’ll probably be happier with the cost and product

Our first visit to this location, while we are here in town for a dogs surgery at UW. We couldn’t haven’t been more pleased with how welcoming the gentleman behind the counter was. He welcomed us, and let us sample different flavors of ice cream before we decided what we wanted. He also introduced us to the ice cream sandwiches they have made up for our four legged friend (dog). Our dog loved it as much as we did! We can’t say enough about how great the gentleman was and how great the costumer service was! Can’t wait...

Super delicious ice cream and a crazy long list of flavors. The ONLY reason I'm not going 5 stars: I asked for a cup of water, and was told they only sell bottled. Fine, I get it, but our group had already purchased 4 bottled waters and I just needed a cup for my 4 year old to share (it was hot, and ice cream leaves one dehydrated). The girl at the register said "I'm sorry, I just can't do that"... So after giving Chocolate Shoppe over $65, they wouldn't give me a...
