Waffle House — Restaurant in Madison

Food okay, service was lacking, I was never offered refills on my drink with my meal.. I never have been treated so rudely by the wait staff, cooks or management.. I was dropped off by my daughter, to meet with my other daughter for a funeral for a close family member that morning.. I was continuously harassed, asked to move to another seat for no reason.. To top it off I was even asked if I wanted to become a cook or a waitress for waffle house.. Staff sat around with customers at their tables or where in the bathrooms for 15 to 20 mins at a time.. I waited to use the restroom and was politely told to use the men's because she knew the waitress that was using the restroom was going to be in there for sometime.. I wonder what was taking that member of staff so long in a bathroom that it took almost 20 minutes.. They also overcharge me on my bill should have been $7.00 but was charged an extra $3.00 plus tip.. No, I do not recommend this waffle house.. Go across the bridge there is another on the right.. I do recommend I-Hop at pilot truck stop. Great service and food.. their at least caring and get refills on your coffee without begging. Cracker barrel is also located near by.. take your business to another establishment that will treat you like a customer not...

We have been here before with our service dog she is a small service dog and with no issues .On this day the lady I guess that was in charge told us she had to sit on their nasty floor . I said we have been in here before and she was able to sit beside me with no issues.So we proceed to walk out the door with her her talking very loud to us she can show us their rules and she says the dog can't eat from the table and we were walking out not at the table I turned and told her she don't even eat at our table at home.I don't understand why ppl have to be so rude to their customers.This was not a polite way of doing things she just showed how rude she could be.We were just walking out .It is sad when ppl have taken their pets in and let them eat from there plates .Our is a service dog and she has her own plates that she eats from and she don't eat ppl food.I hope that someone sees this and takes action not to go there with there service dog not very polite. But note this she is only 10 lbs , not all service dogs are big they are...

Horrible service! We arrived tried to eat here on 3/13/19 at 10:00 pm. There were only 2 staff. 4 tables of people. When we came in, no one greeted us. No booth tables were clean. We sat down at the least dirty. Waited, waited and waited.. not a single acknowledgement from the staff. In 15 minutes, the waitress only acknowledged one table. She brought them a drink refill and went back to studying something on the computer for 10 more minites. The cook served all the food to that table.. The other 3 tables and ourselves were never spoken to. (The one being waited on by the cook whispered to us to prepare to wait even longer.. So.. We finally gave up and went to the waffle house 1/2 mile down the road and received a hello, a menu, clean table and smile immediately. They had 3 workers.. all working and 8 tables being served..

I would give the cook at the first waffle house a 4 star.. the waitress -10 stars! The second waffle...
