Wendy's — Restaurant in Madison

the owners to this franchise should be notified on how poorly their employees acted tonight! My family and I will not be returning! The drive thru cashier showed poor customer service and lack of respect to her customer. She did not greet us with a hey , or even tell us how much we owed, she did repeatedly push drinks into my sons hands as he was trying to ask for sauces (that we did not even get) and then shut the door on him with no response to our request. once we got our food we soon realized they gave us Spicey chicken sandwiches instead of classic, then forgot one of our meals completely. So since the dining area was closed we went back around drive thru, she first shut the door on us and acted like she didn’t see us, after realizing we were not leaving she open the door , after telling her that we didn’t get one of our meals she slammed the door on us again. she then proceeded to ask for our name to give us a free meal down the road since they are closing at 8 and will not be able to give us our food we already sat in line for, we asked for a refund on the meal , the girl then slammed the drive thru window and walked away. Another employee came to the window asking what we needed, we then repeated it and they said they could not find our order after literally just leaving the drive thru! a much older lady with glasses was very polite got our meal and everything we were missing. Stopped in at this Wendy's, Sunday 9/12/2021, I must say it was the worst Wendy's I have ever dealt with. Lobby was closed to start with. The person running the window that was taking orders was VERY VERY BAD FOR BUSSUINESS!!!!! Ordered two large Baconator combos, was informed they was out of cheese, order anyway. Arrived at window with small drinks and fries ready to be handed to me (was charged for the large) told person that I ordered large combos and they just took a large cup and dumped small cup into large cup while getting drink all over the outside of cup, added a small amount of drink with no more ice. Started to hand me the items and had to tell them again that I Ordered large combos, I was asked, so you want large fries also!!!!!!!Yes that's what I ordered. After finally getting ordered we left the Wendy's not checking the bag because at this point we did not care what was in the bag!!!! After getting on I-20 realized that not only did the sandwiches not have cheese they only had one piece of bacon per sandwich. Not sure what is suppose to be on the sandwich but was only two patties and one piece of bacon! The sandwich was not even close to what I get while ordering the Baconator. The good thing about the experience is we was traveling and this is not our local Wendy's. Who ever owns this franchise better keep an eye on the restaurant, if this is normal don't no how its still...

Our advice is to use the drive thru for decent service. The inside is usually closed in the afternoon. An employee advised us that it is due to not having enough employees come to work. If the inside is open and you decide to go in, be prepared for a long wait on your food. We we visited on 08/12/2022, we spoke with patrons who were waiting on their food. They stated that it would be a pretty long wait. We were not acknowledged for about 10 minutes as every employee was concentrated on the drive thru. Once we placed our order, it was an additional 25-30 minutes on our food. Employees were seen going in and out of the restaurant taking food to the drive thru customers that they told to pull up in order to shorten the drive thru service timer. Walk in customers are an afterthought. If you are in a hurry, go elsewhere. This is definitely not a “fast” food...
