Ill start by saying, this place used to be great. I mean the Butter Chicken was amazing. Thats why I get it so regularly, just hoping itll be as good as its supposed to be this time. But it seems like it never will be...
The last 6 or 7 times ive went there, the food has been an absolutely terrible waste of money, often times, I couldnt even eat the naan at all because it was so burnt. Over the last few visits, ive wasted probably $400+ here. Because instead of recieving the delicious food that ive gotten from them many times in the past, ive gotten plain charred Naan that would bust into 5 pieces if you hit the table with it, and butter chicken that was so old that it was about 10 shades darker than its supposed to be, the sauce clumped together and separated from the butter/oil.
Tonight I went there and spent $40 dollars on what was supposed to be 2 bowls of butter chicken, 2 bowls of rice, and 4 pieces of Naan.
I got 2 bowls of terrible looking "butter chicken" and the Naan, no rice. On the bright side, the Naan isn't too terribly burned. But im not sure the butter chicken should be consumed? Id bring it back but its 10pm and I live over half an hour away.
Ive noticed when the guy serves me, the food is on point. Its when the woman is there that its so terrible. Maybe its a coincidence, idk? I hate to have to give up on this place, because I know how good it can be when its done right. But lately, its nothing but a frustrating waste of money.
If it wasnt for the fantastic food I used to get here, id give it 1 star. But the past counts for...
Read moreThe food was yummy and the service, such as it was, was impeccable! I don't think I've had better butter chicken ever! Just a caution! Unless you are getting an order for a group, get a small order.
The restaurant is inside a gas station. You can go in and order at their counter - which looked nice from what I could see, or you could go through the drive-thru. I chose the drive-thru which is really more of a drive-up. You order at the window, pay, drive around to the door, and they bring your food when it's ready. They have dine-in, but that's misleading. They have booths sitting outside the service station.
The man at the drive-thru was really sweet and the man who brought my food was also very sweet. I'll definitely go back if I'm ever in town and staying at the hospital again.... or even a hotel. It's not somewhere I can just come anytime because I don't live here. If you're in Madisonville and don't mind eating outside, or have somewhere to stay, definitely try them out. I had the butter chicken and the samosas and it was...
Read moreFor a while I was going and the food was wonderful, but the last several times we have been the food has been truly awful. The people who work there are super nice, but the last 3 times we have gone there has been something significantly wrong with our food. The first of the last 3, they gave us Mexican rice for our indian food and it tasted disgusting and didn't pair well. The second, the food was so salty we couldn't even eat it. The most recent time the food was SO heavily spiced it actually gave me a headache, which I had never previously experienced and I don't mind my food a bit spicy, this was to the point we didn't even finish our food. I don't know what happened to the food because before these last 3 times it was amazing, but something has gone horribly awry and my husband and I probably won't go back after 3 tries in a row and getting bad...
