Big City Market & Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Madisonville

This is my favorite spot in town to get coffee. I love the art they keep in the place (especially the pink boar head, that really caught my eye) and most of it is actually for sale, it's a lovely little agreement between local artists and the venue. The baristas are stellar. Always friendly, talkative, one even chased me out the door to know what I thought of a book I bought (they sell books secondhand too, another great partnership in my opinion. Heathens & Co. If anyone's interested.) So the customer service goes well above and beyond what's expected. Their drinks are absolutely delicious, and I adore the manager who works there. Super chill, down to earth gal who treated me like a person and not just another cup of coffee to serve. Gave me all the details of what's happening around the town lately. They thoroughly impress me every time, and have daily deals too if you're looking for a bargain. Really if you need a place for some quiet or just want a quaint little meet up spot with a friend afterwork, this is definitely the spot. They do so much to show case Madisonville and our local businesses in their store, I highly recommend paying them a visit to pay their generosity forward. I finally got to try Big City today after multiple previous attempts. They close at 5, not 7 like Google claims. I have been trying to find a place here in Madisonville that vibes with me like the coffee shop I frequented in Frankfort. Today I went in hoping to enjoy a cup while doing some work on my laptop, but I felt put off by the atmosphere there. One of the best coffee shops I have ever experienced even starbucks is not a competition. It's so beautiful in there with such a high-class atmosphere with down-to-earth employees with one of the best customer services I've experienced. I've ran restaurants all my life and this place is the cream of the crop when it comes to food and beverages. You can't find food made like this anywhere from homemade sandwiches,soups, salads and wraps. Their healthy options are wonderful and very delicious.
