I was planning to eat pizza, but the pizza place was closed, so I went next door to Empa Taco. Google says it's "mexican" but it's really a fusion of Mexican, Cuban and South American. I had never tried the Arepa before; it's a white corn patty with cheese and shredded beef (you could get pork or chicken too). I loved it, with a side of plantains! I'll be going back to try other stuff.
I noticed a couple of one star reviews claiming that the atmosphere does not convey that of a mexican restaurant; That's because it's NOT a "mexican" restaurant. It's a South American restaurant, that happens to sell some Cuban and Mexican dishes too. If you've never tried South American or Cuban food, don't expect it to resemble mexican food.

We were able to find a place and the restaurant is on a major roadway. The family that ran was Hispanic and they were anxious please their customers. We ordered empanadas and chimichangas.
