BLERGH...first thing to take into consideration here. There is a way better location in Covington, you will lose sight of the river. Buuuuuut the coffee and the food is way better...umh and the service. Why is that you ask??? Why I am flabbergasted too. I first tried the Madisonville location about 2, maybe 3 years ago. We were not very impressed, everyone including the kids who got the basics (waffles pancakes etc...) and as a result left very disengaged. For some odd reason, we decided to try the one in Covington. It could have been a fluke for the Madisonville location. What we noticed a better menu, more options, better coffee, better/more attentive service. So as we live in Cov we made this our spot for breakfast (throughout the day (yes, until close)). Then one or two weekends ago, my wife and I were alone and we said, Let's try the Madisonville locaiton. Again the beautiful river right accross the street is misleading. The menu, lacking and limited. The coffee (we get nitros) was gross. The service, at best mediocre... oops i gave you the smaller cup (service person states have to have that extra sip...Umh no, I paid for the extra 2...4...6...who cares ounces of the already premium priced coffee. so to restate, if you like ARC and can sacrifice the view ( yes the river view is nice) then I would rate this a let it go----never go back. Try ARC in Covington off of Lee Lane. i bought too many gift cards this XMAS so it isnt about the money. But as a restaurant, match your menus, offer the same foods, when i order a coffee in location a and location b they should be the same....too much inconsistency to get anything above a 1 star. ARC COV - 5 stars all...

We never saw the same server twice but that alone is fine. The coffee put a few more hairs in my chest, but I'm okay with strong coffee. Our food took a little long to arrive. When it arrived mine was hot and delicious. The Cajun praline chicken and waffles were excellent. However, my wife's Eggs Benedict didn't have the hollandaise sauce on one of the eggs. Wish I had taken picture of hers. There was enough sauce on her plate that she could slosh the eggs around though, and like I said, service was slow and infrequent so we didn't ask for more sauce.
They have a new menu that we'll have to try out.
Though it didn't affect my rating, I happened to see a co-worker who waited 40 minutes for coffee. She was enjoying conversation with a friend so wasn't bothered much by this. But this further confirms that poor service wasn't limited to us.
I was expecting to offer five stars like the Covington location but can only justify 4 stars based on this visit, some of that based on the Covington location experience. If we return and service is similar, a reduction in stars would be warranted.
Original post: I went there for an engagement party, not a regular dining experience. It was nice especially since we were able go to onto the outdoor patio. The primary room was satisfactory but would have been insufficient, in my opinion, if weather was inclement. Limited but nice food selection. For small gatherings, I would...

I recently visited Abita Roasting Company and tried their mango tuna with rice and broccoli, accompanied by a strawberry mimosa and a coffee. While the fish itself was quite good, the overall experience fell short of my expectations.
The price point was nearly $100, which felt steep for the quality of the meal. The sides of rice and broccoli were underwhelming and didn't add much to the dish. The strawberry mimosa and coffee were decent, but not remarkable.
Given the price and the overall dining experience, I would rate Abita Roasting Company 3 to 4 stars. The fish was the highlight, but the rest of the meal and the value for money left me somewhat disappointed. There was no mango anywhere to be seen on the fish and it was entirely too hot inside...
