Location: 3/5: Green’s is hard to see if you are not looking for it. Although it is located right off KY-93, you will drive right by unless you are looking. Easy off and easy on 93. Motorcycles beware…gravel parking lot.
Ambiance: 3/5: For a steakhouse, below expectations. For a bar attached to a steakhouse, below expectations. For winery, very nicely put together. The bar and surrounding area did not have a dedicated theme or feeling…incoherent wall decor, some MTV drama shows on the two TVs, and a small elegant statue near the door. The large dining room feels…old…despite only being open for less than six months.
Value for $$: 4/5: Appetizers for at the $8 mark. Pork chops meal was $18. 14 oz. Ribeye was $33. Not too shabby.
Service: 5/5: Our server was Wade. He was excellent, prompt, courteous, attentive, and he left us alone when we didn’t need need him. We talked with two other staff who were also very nice. Met the owner, Bill, who talked with us and attended to our questions and interests.
Hygiene: 5/5: Everything was very clean. Tables, chairs, booths, plates, cups, utensils all very clean. Bathroom was clean enough.
Cuisine: 4.5/5: For a steakhouse, the ribeye was good (not great). The pork chops were great! The fried mushrooms were great. The mozzarella sticks (our go-to) were okay, but the marinara and fresh Parmesan cheese were great! The onion rings were okay. Steak fries were good. The squash would have been great but it was swimming in butter.
Recommend: 5/5: We had a good time, and we would definitely recommend. We will be back next weekend for our...
Read moreI don't really have to give any back story because I'm sure you'll both remember. But to the husband, I want to make sure you understand that at no point did I step out of line. Even when you came over and raised your voice on an accusation of me "disrespecting" your wife. If she isn't capable of accepting the fact that you are both incredibly unprofessional, I sincerely apologize. As far as the steak goes, which I did ask the server if you were competent enough to cook a medium rare steak and she must have mistaken your skill level, there are only 2 possibilities that can be assumed. Either a, your thermometer is broken, or b, you don't know the temps of the steaks you prepare. I would allow you to use the busy excuse, but at 5 pm on a Sunday it was my wife and I and two other couples in the restaurant. Unfortunately for me, I won't make another appearance because I realized McDonalds is down the street and much better than severely undercooked steak, which is fortunate for you. My last little gem for you to stick in your hat and remember is don't get irate with customers you don't know, because you never know what can happen in this day and age. Best regards, the customer you made sure knew you had 4.5 stars...
Read moreSometimes you find something that you like SO MUCH you just need to share! We have not been out to eat in a LONG time, tonight we went to GREENS Steak House in Madisonville KY located on Main St. This was probably one of the best restaurant meals we have EVER had! We ordered a variety of items, there where 5 people in our party, and EVERYONE agreed that it was AMAZING! Best steak I have ever had in my life! The owner came out, was as nice as could be, our server's name was Sara she was perfect! Very friendly, and did her job unbelievable! We never had an empty glass, nor a dirty plate on our table. 5 star server! And last but not least, the cooks! WOW! Whoever is back in that kitchen cooking really knows what they are doing! If you decide to treat yourself and want to pick a good place try this steak house! (Prices are in line with what a good steak house would be) Please support these local businesses! You will not be disappointed if you eat here! We absolutely loved it! I hope this review & recommendation makes it's way back to the owner, staff, server & cooks
