I visited this restaurant today for lunch and had an unfortunate experience that I feel compelled to share. During my meal, I noticed what appeared to be a parasite in my redfish. I brought it to the attention of the waitress, not to request a replacement or refund, but simply to inform them of what I found. I made it clear that I wasnât looking for anything in return, just sharing my observation as a courtesy. The waitress seemed annoyed and asked for a picture, which I provided. She then took my dish to the kitchen without much explanation. On my way out, the same waitress and what seemed to be the chef approached me in the middle of the restaurant, surrounded by other diners, and tried to insist that it was just the fishâs lining. While I understand they may want to defend their food, the way they handled the situation was overly aggressive and unprofessional. Their approach turned what should have been a calm, simple exchange into a very uncomfortable and embarrassing moment for me. I had no intention of making a scene or causing trouble, but their response escalated the situation unnecessarily. This experience left a bad impression, not because of the fish itself, but because of how my concern was handled. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains their staff to handle customer concerns with more respect and professionalism...
Read moreWhile camping in our RV at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, LA, went to lunch at Triple Nickel Grill about 1.5 miles from the state park in a small strip mall. We had seen raving reviews on the Lippert Scout FB Group. There are actually two restaurants, one in Mandeville and another up the road in Madisonville. Mick decided to have the burger that made them famous, the Nickel Burger with cheddar cheese with mayo, lettuce, and tomato. Karla had their Pickle Burger with lots of fried pickles in and out of the burger with a side of ranch dressing. The burger was dressed with cheddar cheese with mayo, lettuce, and tomato. The 1/2 pound charbroiled patties were cooked to order and the fresh buns were perfectly toasted. We both concluded that the burgers were juicy and charbroiled was a plus, so they were a solid Good. We both got their shoestring fries. The fries were Very Good and there was a lot. One of our deciding factors in grading a restaurant's food (Not Impressed, OK, Good, Very Good, and the The Best) is whether we would return to the restaurant. With the variety of other local food options such as PO Boys and Seafood along with the food quality and great service, we would definitely go back when in...
Read moreFood is good, but I ordered a bread pudding and got home and it was like ice and hard as a brick. I called to speak to the manager about it and the girl told me the manager wasnât in and she didnât know if she would be back tomorrow or the next day. So I asked for contact info and she put me on hold for approximately 5 seconds and magically the manager answered the phone. So that kind of rubbed me wrong. So I voiced my concern and she said they serve their dessert cold because by the time people drive home they just have to reheat it anywaysâŚ.. but the last two times I got bread pudding it was not cold, it was warm. And if that were the case might as well serve the spaghetti that I got cold too. It was just a bad customer service experience. So if all is going well, sure itâs a good place to eat, but Heaven forbid something isnât right, they donât seem to care to...
