Decided to stop in for late lunch after finishing physical therapy down the road. As I opened menu waiter snapped that i could not order off lunch menu (lunch had ended about 15 mins before my arrival, which was fine since I wanted sushi but he shouldn't have given me the lunch menu if I couldn't order off it.). He stomped off annoyed when I wasn't ready to order right away then I sat for over 15 mins in empty dining room waiting for his return. Came over just as I was getting ready to leave. When I asked what the chefs special sauce on one sushi item was he said it was a secret and the chef won't give out the recipe. I asked if it was spicy or sweet, he had no idea. He had to go back twice to ask and still gave vague answer. Decided to order something else. From arrival he was snarky and impatient. He served plate but never checked on me or offered more tea. Wasn't in the dining room for me to ask him. But he dropped check while I still had almost a full plate. I said I wasn't done yet so he picked it back up with loud sigh. Never cleared plate, even 10 mins after I pushed it to edge of table. Just put check in front of me again. When I said I was going to have dessert he said Well I thought you were done and made no move to clear plate. At that point I wanted out. Food (shrimp chow mei fun) was just ok, tea tasted like water so I requested a green tea which was not much better, no chopsticks. But biggest turnoff: server's attitude. ...
Read moreUpdated 04/22. Downgrading this place to 3 stars. They got worse since last time I reviewed it. Now itâs totally average in everything⊠Covid-19 and inflation hit hard many food places recently. This one included. Sad.
Original review: The best place for Chinese takeout in the area. Our favorites here are boneless spare ribs and chicken lo mein lunch combos. Itâs more expensive than other places, because they do not include soup with lunch. But ordering soup separately is absolutely worth it. Egg drop soup and hot and sour are must have. Overall, what makes this place to stand out is attention to ingredients and spices. You need nothing to improve their food taste. Itâs already perfect. Btw, I forgot to mention cream cheese rangoons. Itâs another treat hard to pass on. Just be careful though, food coma is a real risk after this...
Read moreMy wife and I sold our house 7 weeks ago, and are temporarily ensconced in a hotel in Ramsey, until we figure out where we're moving next. We found this place totally by accident, and let me tell you this is the best Chinese takeout that I have ever had, We have made it our 'go to' place for Chinese takeout. #1 they have the best won ton soup. We get it by the quart(s). #2 I like spicy, and can't recommend their Szechuan Beef enough. The meat are large portions of tender spicy beef, along with the usual Chinese vegetables (including the broccoli...done just right...not too mushy, not to crunchy). We will be coming back as long as we're here!...
