I do not usually give reviews, but have to make it an exception this time as Tandoori Bites went beyond our expectations both in the quality of the food, and the service they provided. If i could give them 10 stars I would! This is rather going to be a long review...but worth the mention. We had catered party order, and the manager/owner Meher was extremely helpful with choosing ,and also suggesting food items, and some of the items were their specialty/family recipes such as their punjabi kadhi, chicken seek kebabs! Everything was set for that evening , when I got a call from Meher saying that the delivery car that was on its way met with an accident, and her father who was in the car sustained some injuries. The car was totaled ( saw the pictures) and the food trays got messed up. My guests had started arriving, I didn't know what to do. Meher stayed calm ( despite being sick herself, and unable to attend to her father) and offered to get the entire menu prepared again by their chef, if I could wait for an hour. Not only did they deliver the food, all prepared again within an hour as promised, we were shocked to see the delivery person being accompanied by the injured father delivering the food personally- beyond what anyone could expect, we were speechless! This shows the work ethics, keeping up to the word, and customer's trust . The quality of the food was exceptional. The chicken seekh kebabs, achari fish, bhuna goat, punjabi kadhi, methi matar malai, were delicious! Punjabi kadhi pakodi was so so yummy, that it reminded one of our guests of their own family recipe! I truly commend the entire staff, including the owner, for their exceptional service, and the carefully crafted food , despite the challenging situation they were placed in! Best wishes to the entire team of...
Read moreA must for original Punjabi charcoal sneezing tandoori items lovers n regular authentic Punjabi food joint with lots of veg n non veg varieties with really an unexpected reasonable charges in Mahwah NJ. A nice cozy place Tandoori bites on Franklin Tpke previously known as Peshawari Grill now owned and managed by Sardar Karamjeet Singhji commonly called Papaji, the real expert chef Sardarni Paramjeet Kaur (Biji) who are always there with a broad smile on their face and Namaste or Sat Sri Akal on their lips. The food really is awesome with full punjabi taste . The only place to have any biryani in Matka ( Earthen Clay Pot ) piping hot spreading charcoal aroma all around, the Bhuna Gosht (Semi dry goat meat) believe me the meat melted in my mouth. The fresh Channa Batoota 1 order enough for 2 people served with privy punjabi Mango pickle, green n sweet chutney, onion and lemons, the pomfret ( Pompano) was on its top. It was really a wonderful experience and couldn’t forget humble courteous smiling service on Jashan Kaka. Can’t believe the prices so reasonable for such wonderful food prepared by Biji herself and RohimDa the other main chef and soft spongy but well cooked Rosemary Naans by Tandoor Master Imran. Surprised by the reply from Chef RohimDa when II asked him “how Do You Guys Make such Tasty Food “ the chef replied “ sir before preparing food we pray to our God to bless us to make food worthy and tastiest for our customers “ . Really surprising!!! The restaurant has BYOL for customers who want drinks with their food. Thank you Papaji, Biji, Jashan, RohimDa n Imran for your beautiful food n service and making my granddaughterhappy too with her all time favorite...

Comfort:The restaurant offers ample space to accommodate families, including providing high chairs for young children. The seating is comfortable and the layout allows for a relaxed dining experience without feeling cramped.
Taste:The food is exceptional! We thoroughly enjoyed the Veg Dum Biryani, which was a standout. We also ordered Mughlai Shahi Paneer, Tandoori Roti, and Mango Lassi. Each dish was well-prepared, with the flavors perfectly balanced. The spices in the biryani were distinct yet harmonious, enhancing the dish without overwhelming the palate. The Mango Lassi was particularly impressive—rich, creamy, and not overly sweet, a refreshing change from what’s often served at other places.
Quantity:The portion sizes are generous, enough to satisfy an adult without feeling skimpy. You get good value for your money with the amount of food served.
Price:The prices are comparable to those of an average Indian restaurant, making it a great value considering the quality and portion sizes. It’s not overly expensive, and you certainly get what you pay for in terms of both taste and quantity.
Overall:This restaurant delivers on flavor and quality, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a delicious meal. However, given the casual ambiance, I would recommend it more for takeout than for dining in, especially if you’re looking for a more refined or romantic...
