Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Malakoff

I don't know when the good reviews were written but this Sonic has gone down hill. It used to be really, really good close to a year ago and it is now 8/2/2020 but no longer, the onion rings are just crispy fried flour and their meat tastes old, we have tried it off and on per month in the hopes it would go back to being a great little place to eat but so far it hasn't lived up to anything even close to " good " much less great. Even their shakes have went downhill!! They are more liquid than they should be with less flavor, I noticed that they were cutting back on the size of the supposedly large onion rings, even though you pay more you don't get more and to pay for crispy greasy flour that is supposed to be onion rings and cold dry meat I have decided not to give them any more chances, I will go to the next town where the Sonic there actually lives up to what I know a Sonic Drive In is supposed to be, really awful place, if you are traveling and think of stopping here? I would suggest keep on traveling.

Revisited 02/07 2021 Food was great! Onion rings have really stepped up and so has the veggies on burgers as well as the meat not being old tasting, I am hoping it will stay this way as we will return to our old Sonic which is what this is " our Sonic...

This was pretty bad. I had ordered through the app. When I checked in and it said my order was headed out the door it was another 5 minutes. The server who was pleasant started to hand me my order and when I double checked with her she had no idea what the order was. She had forgotten my Rt 44 drink and had to go back for it. The chicken breading was stale and I almost broke my fork trying to stab one. The tots had a weird flavor and no salt. I couldn't finish my meal because of the taste. I had a poor experience from this location before (they were cleaning the ice cream machine after the store was open so none for me at that time) but thought another chance was in order. Well, I just have to wait untill I drive past another Sonic further down the road if I want something from...

DO NOT use the rest rooms here. There is a one way mirror in the bathroom on the wall.

The food here is good and have not messed up my order yet. However, I would NOT trust the women's bathroom. I went in and there was no door handle on the inside. A dead bolt to lock the door and a one way mirror on the wall. Again, DO NOT use the bathrooms here, unless you like to be spied on while doing your business. I'm just glad I checked it as soon as I walked in the bathroom.
