Wawa — Restaurant in Manalapan Township

Wawa is absolutely my favorite place in New Jersey and even my birthday party this year was “wawa night” theme. It hurts me leaving this review but I am tired of not standing for myself when I need. I stop at this wawa every day, I get gift cards and add them to my wawa app to make everything easier for me. I use the self checkout to pay for my orders and never had a problem. I had 2 gift cards on my phone and one had only $0.50 left and I didn’t notice it when I paid. The machine gave me a receipt and I left to wait for my order. I didn’t notice the receipt was saying that I paid only $0.50, I though I was fine. I came back to pay another item I decided to buy and THIS CASHIER WAS YELLING AT ME: “you can’t do it!”. I thought he was joking because I was only using the self checkout. But then he yelled again “you can’t leave like that!”. It was in front other costumers! I didn’t know what he was talking about! I had my receipt! So other lady showed me nicely that I still have a remain balance to pay. I called out his attention for being rude and yelling at me and walked away… when I got in my car I understood what happened and came back to talk to the manager. The same cashier was rude yesterday, rushing me to pay when I was not even ready. But I didn’t care, everybody has bad days. But again today? I am sorry, this guy doesn’t represent the wawa respect I always had. He even called me “short”, that’s why he couldn’t see me (??). Lately they have been closing early at 11 which is understandable could be due to covid I assume or cleaning. But several nights in a row we show up at 9:00 pm even at 8:40 and they barely have any food due to them getting ready to close at 11:00pm... I'd understand if we showed up at 10:30 but 9?? 8:40? And they barely have any food mostly just subs, beans and just cheese quesadilla. And when this happens there's at least over 10 customers who arrive and want food and are disappointed. The night crew isn't nice at all. I'm pregnant and get alot of cravings for the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. I like extra buffalo sauce and they always give my husband a hard time about it. They get nasty to him give him dirty looks. He also orders burrito bowl and he pays extra for sour cream and they never give it to us. I'm gonna start going somewhere else.
