Alba's Pub — Restaurant in Manchester Township

So, I just came to Alba’s for some dinner this evening and unfortunately had to walk out due to the poor customer service. First of all, we took two seats at the bar and the counter was disgustingly sticky and dirty. The bartender asked us for our drinks and we gave her our order, we were sitting next to a couple who also seemed to be perplexed by the lack of attention to the countertops dirtiness. The bartender brought the drinks, which one ended up having to go back due to the lipstick on the outside of the glass. Gross. In response to the request for a new glass, the bartender appeared bothered as she began to slam the dishes as she was cleaning up other parts of the bar that were dirty. The couple next to us requested to the bartender if she had a rag to clean up the mess in the section we were in, since she still didn’t bother to clean up the area of the sticky food juices that the patrons before us left. She then proceeded to grab a rag and “throw it” towards the woman next to us. As someone who was and is in the service industry, I have never seen a rag (that wasn’t even clean) be thrown towards a customer for them to clean the counter that as a bartender you are meant to maintain. Unapologetic, forgetful, waitress who is overworked and responsible for 12 tables. Feel bad for her and frustrated about our bad experience.

I went up to the bar to ask for water because the waitress forgot to bring it to us and after 20 minutes I figured my pregnant wife was on her own for h20.

I went to the bartender to ask for water and she said they only give bottled water. I explained we waited so long and I was trying to be helpful because I recognized the waitress was busy and somehow that caused the bartender to ignore me.

Food was good but the service is terrible!

I think the waitress realized that regardless of the level of service she provided she was still going to get 100% of the tip and so she didn’t care.

Pub had live music tonight too. Recipe for a great experience….but wasn’t. Even at the end we had 6 little containers of left overs and the waitress didn’t bother to bring a plastic bag for them.

But guess how quickly she came to settle the check QUICK. She was like speedy...

We ate here for the first time Tuesday, April 01st, 2025.

Pros: Tuesday is Buy One Burger get One 50% off. Although a little on the higher side as a regular price, the Burgers were very good! Flame grilled, cooked as requested, extra large size with a nice brioche bun. Juicy, but not greasy! Coleslaw seemed homemade and was good! Bartender made the cheapest, best tasting Margaritas ever! Cheap tequila, but tasted great….only $4.00! Both Bartenders ( as Servers ) were friendly and accommodating. Order was accurate. Live Music on a Tuesday!!!

Cons: Dated decor. Old school bar atmosphere. Happy Hour Drink Specials only available at the Bar. Check had to be corrected as the 50% off second Burger needs to be manually entered by server, so double check your check. As is typical, paying by card adds a percentage.

Summary: For inexpensive, good Happy Hour Drink and Food Specials and for Live Music, I would eat here again!
