Food was likely tampered with but not obvious enough to throw a fit at the place over. My toast was watery/dripping with likely not butter. I found several black hairs in my plate, note: my husband is bald and I am blonde. The place closes at 2pm and granted we did show up at 1:10pm.We were seated immediately and we apologized for not coming earlier but it was still well during working hours and guests still arriving after us. I started talking to my husband and noticed a couple walked in and then our waitress complained and stated “why are people still coming in” at around 1:20pm. I started talking about that to my husband in which I thought it was rude due to the fact it should still want revenue and she shouldn’t be complaining about that. I do believe this may be the reason my food was tampered with. My husband did eat his breakfast and thought his was fine, but he noticed more hairs in my food because I could not finish so after he took a few bites. His/my stomach turned less than 15 minutes after we left. It’s upsetting due to the fact my husband has been going to this place since he was a child and this is the first time he’s leaving dissatisfied and we will not be going back. I knew something was off because our waitress didn’t even serve us the food, the cook or whoever brought the food to us while our waitress was conversing to a coworker/ not working. This place has gone downhill and the service is...

First, I'd like to say that my wife and I have been coming here off and on for several years, and we've always enjoyed our experience.

Today, however, was and is a different story.

Our waitress was personable and warm, and she took care of us promptly. Food wasn't quite up to par from what we remember, but here's what's really bothering me: the host and bussers are some of the most unimpressive, inexperienced, non-personable people I've ever seen in the food service industry, and here's why...

No smile. No "Hey, good morning, how are ya". No uniform. The kid's pants were hanging down over his rear end, and he had zero physical indicators that he even worked there. One of the bussers was eating her "breakfast" (ive never, in all my years working in the food service industry, eaten my meal at the beginning of my shift while on the clock. Such disrespect.) while people were standing at the door waiting for clean tables. (There were at least 4 or 5 unoccupied tables directly surrounding me that I would've been more than happy to have filled with paying customers)

Overall, if I was FOH manager here, things would be drastically different, and the standard would return. These kids these days really don't know what it takes to impress people.

We'll be back, but I'd hope that staffing is different when we return, or at least better trained and...

The only good thing about my breakfast was the crepe and it was really messy. My boyfriend's crepe was supposed to have fresh strawberries, and they were all white and not ripe. Its winter, they should take ingredients that are out of season off the menu. My over easy eggs were still raw, yes, the yolk is supposed to be raw, like the waiter assured me, however, there were clear, uncooked whites all throughout the eggs. They sent out new ones to adhere to "my liking." Still raw. My hashbrowns were cold, raw in the middle, and tasted like nothing. My boyfriend's entire meal came out cold, the beans tasted like something I could only describe as marinated pennies. We were reassured the food was undercooked because the kitchen starts to rush to get things out, even though, it had obviously been done for quite some time because everything came to us cold... After the waitor came to our table and we asked for things to be redone and warmed up, he was leaning on the counter eating for about 5 minutes, so I can assume that other people this morning also received a cold breakfast. It was the worst breakfast I've had in all my life. Overall, it was a huge disappointment. Amateur hour over at...

Visited on a Sunday, late morning. Place was very busy with a 15-20 minute wait. Folks just constantly holding the front door open while they wait in line made it very cold and uncomfortable for the tables near the front. Once seated there was a significant wait for coffee/beverages and then another wait to order. We drove about 90 minutes one way to try this place as they have authentic French Canadian dishes. I had the Pork Pie and scrambled eggs with homefries and a side of Gorton. Wife had crepes and scrambled with homefries. The French Canadian items were very good, the Pork Pie, Crepes and Gorton were all very tasty. The "standard" breakfast items were not. Both orders of scrambled eggs were hard and mine were not even warm , room temperature at best. Homefries seemed to be just par-boiled potatoes that were then put in the oven? a bit with seasoning?? No idea what was going on there but not good. All in it was $45 for two of us. The fact that the FC stuff was pretty good and almost unobtainable anywhere else saved them for a 1 star rating. I would like to think we caught them on an off day, but the distance and price makes a repeat visit unlikely.

One thing is for sure, you will not leave this place hungry! The menu is diverse with something for just about every taste....so your biggest problem will be deciding if you want lunch for breakfast or breakfast for lunch! The omelets are huge and the burgers are great... the only reason it lacks the full complement of stars is parking. While there is a small parking lot in the rear, the front relies on street front parking in a mostly residential neighborhood... I imagine getting spaces can be difficult at busy times, but we lucked out on our visit... I certainly recommend for anyone who's hungry....and its only a short distance from catholic medical center.

I’m a Canadian living in New England and haven’t had a truly satisfying poutine in YEARS. Finally made it to Chez Vachon after seeing them on tv. I knew as soon as I saw a picture of their poutine that it was the real deal, the one that’s been missing from my life… and it was everything I had hoped and dreamed of. Perfect fries, delicious gravy, and big generous cheese curds. We also had a really great turkey sandwich, the kind you can only get at a good diner. Service was super friendly and fast, not to mention hilarious.
