I won't go in details but please check your BILL before paying. Make sure you're not overcharged. This was my second time going there and I thought it was suspicious

My FIRST dining experience was good regards to the service and I enjoyed the beef stir fry noodles . Sadly, second time I came to dine to try the Dim Sum items and it was a disappointment , especially the unexpected charges on my bill. The menu is not consistent. When you do ask the server about certain dishes or make some modification, she will NOT tell you the price difference versus the Dim Sum menu and Full dining menu. My observation from my second visit, I think the server is trying to scam the customer (new customers)and pocket extra $$ by not giving you an itemize receipt and hoping that you will not question it and pay it. I noticed on my bill was overcharged $12.00! I think she knew she was caught for her mistake and immediately she give me $10.00 cash saying here's my tip. You can take it. She said I can't give you a credit card refund because it will take two weeks. I couldn't believe my ears when she said that.

I told her I like supporting family owned business but this is unacceptable and not dining...

On Monday evening around 8:30pm (30 minutes before they closed) I ordered a combination plate with pork fried rice, but upon returning home, I discovered that they had given me white rice instead. Unfortunately, I couldn't reach them that night, as they had already closed by the time I got home at 9 pm. The next day, I called them right after they opened at 11 am to have the order corrected.

However, my experience with their customer service was far from satisfactory. The person I spoke to claimed they had tried to call me to inform me about the pork fried rice unavailability, but I never received any such call. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the woman on the phone began yelling and arguing with me, insisting that I should have called the same night, even after their closing time. This confrontational attitude and refusal to replace the order left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I used to be a regular customer, ordering from Golden Tao almost every week and spending a significant amount of money here. After this incident, though, I've decided not to return. Such a disappointing experience and poor customer service have discouraged me from supporting this restaurant...

We tried the Golden Tao for the first time last night. The decor could use a refresh (the booth seats vynil covering was cracked and worn). We started with a Scorpion Bowl for Two which was potent but did not taste quite right. We ordered two Combo Plates (Beef & Broccoli with Chicken Teriyaki and Pork Rice and General Tao's Chicken with Beef Teriyaki and Pork Rice). We also ordered Egg Rolls and Crab Rangoons. The Egg Rolls were average and the Crab Rangoons were excellent. Both main dishes were average, the Chicken Teriyaki was a thick, juicy slice of chicken but not flavored with traditional Teriyaki sauce. I liked it but my wife was disappointed. The Beef Teriyaki was really good. The Pork Fried Rice was tasty but seemed like an afterthought. It was served in a small bowl (about 5 bites worth). We will be returning to the Golden Tao restaurant to try some other dishes but we will definitely reorder the Crab Rangoons, Beef Teryaki and a larger portion...
