The Bakeshop On Kelley Street — Restaurant in Manchester

an experience i will not soon forget. the staff here did a great favor for me on my visit. while on a recent road trip through the area i was researching for bakeries nearby and found their webpage. things looked delicious and i scrolled through the options. what popped out immediately was a listing under pie flavors for grasshopper pie. really an all time favorite of mine and seen very rarely recently. it's a chocolate cookie crust with a mint mousse/cream filling and topped with whipped cream. love it. pointed the car in that direction with anticipation. arrived to find a cute little bakery that does a huge variety of items. fantastic looking donuts, cookies, cakes, brownies, bagels, etc. quite obvious they are popular as some cases were low on stock. but the items here were lovely. i wonderful lady-wish i had here name-asked me if she could help me. seeing no slices of said pie in the case i asked about the availability of the grasshopper pie. she conferred with the folks in back doing the baking and reported that no unfortunately it was not available. heavily disappointing. so while i perused she helped customers who had recently arrived. after deciding to try a brownie, the baker came from the back to say that a 5" grasshopper pie could be made if i had a few minutes. seems that earlier that day the had made a special order 12" grasshopper and had a quantity of the filling left to produce the small version. immediately it was yes from me. chatted and browsed as it was created. what came out was a gorgeous pie that i just knew was going to be delicious. you could smell the wonderful mint just holding the box. purchased the brownie also and thanked them profusely. i will mention that while the brownie had nice chocolate flavor, it was quite dry. maybe a day or two too long on the shelf. after dinner it was time for pie. and as expected it was perfect. all ingredients fresh and flavorful. they had decorated the top beautifully Andes mints and Oreos along with puffs of cream. the texture of the filling was exactly as it should be-firm not runny, light and airy, and full of delicious mint flavor. it was all i could do to not finish all of it in one sitting. as my wife is not a fan of mint it was all mine. i can't commend and thank the folks here at this area treasure. i only wish you were closer to my home so i could order this regularly. highly...

For our wedding, we wanted to have doughnuts instead of cake, so we placed an order with a local bakery as soon as possible. I realized too late that the bakery we booked couldn't guarantee the doughnuts would be safe for several guests with peanut allergies. So I began searching for other bakeries in New Hampshire that could accommodate for those three guests. Luckily I came across the Bakeshop on Kelley Street. It is rare to find a bakery that will be so adaptable for food allergies. My brother has such a hard time with desserts everywhere he goes due to his severe peanut allergy. Countless places will tell you they can't give any guarantees, so Denise's assurances that all staff are trained on cross-contamination was a breath of fresh air. I am so thankful that she (and team) were able to give my brother, brother-in-law, and cousin the chance to eat delicious doughnut dessert just like every other guest. They each got their own individual boxes even! My brother and cousin "clinked" their boxes as if they were champagne glasses! If I were to do it all again, I'd go to the Bakeshop on Kelley Street first and placed the whole wedding order with them. Suffice to say, they will be getting more of my business...

From the moment you walk into this cozy bakery you are welcomed with wonderful aromas of cinnamon maple and fruit coming from freshly baked desserts less than a few feet away from the ovens. I tried a variety of items including muffins, pastry and an outstanding apple cider doughnut with maple topping and am blown away. I have eaten at the famous Condons donuts in Wells Maine and There are many great bakeries in our region to enjoy! This bake shop is a testament to the highest quality ingredients meeting reasonable prices with wonderful flavors. I think one of the aspects that is the most impressive is the textures the combination of the moist interior and crusty exterior just kicks it up to another level that you can’t get a lot of bakeries everything is just cooked to perfection.
