Whenever March rolls around, my McDonaldâs consumption increases-HELLO SHAMROCK SHAKES!đ So I have been going to McDonaldâs more often that I would like to admit lately. Getting a shake at any location is never a guarantee. One day my mom went to 3 different locations! Just to get a milkshake. Iâm sure most of you would say, skip the milkshake that day! Usually I would agree (despite the fact if itâs on the menu, it shouldnât have to cross my fingers every time I order it) but this case was particularly frustrating because my dad was recently got diagnosed with tongue cancer. Heâs had to change his diet and only eats soft things. His chocolate milkshake was something he greatly looked forward to. When someone you love the most is stressed and constantly in pain, you want to do anything you can to give them a little bit of joy.
I know thatâs a lot of information, but I want to paint the full picture as to why I was so pleased with my experience there this week. I wanted to save myself some time by not having to go to multiple locations, so I called ahead to see if their shake machine is working. The gentleman who answered the phone was wonderful. He enthusiastically told me they do have shakes and explained to me why they didnât have them recently(which he didnât have to do!). He also told me he has more shamrock shake mix if thatâs what I was looking for! This extremely kind and informative conversation was so refreshing and I appreciated it so much! Calling a McDonaldâs with questions, normally results in annoyed teen on the other line giving you one word answers, trying to get you off the phone. When I got there I ordered a couple sham shakes for my mother and I (and of course my dads chocolate!). I always ask for extra whipped cream in my shakes and pay the extra $.30 or whatever it is, so I donât just get a tiny dot of it on top. The man who I ordered from was the same man I spoke to on the phone and he explained âI can give you extra but it wonât fit in the large size, I can give you some extra on the side? â I said o no, thatâs alright, I just always say that because usually their regular whipped cream is abysmal. He said âDonât worry Iâll make sure theyâre full.â Not in an annoyed or condescending way. He was so wonderful! Thatâs the first time any employee has told me that. Theyâve always up-charged me and even THEN, itâs hit or miss as to whether or not I get a decent amount of whipped cream-or any at all(true story)! Unfortunately I didnât get the name of this wonderful man. I believe I was there this past Sunday or Monday. It looked like this gentleman was a manger and he had a tie dyed mask on. When I got back home I told my family, âI have faith in humanity again!â It was just really lovely and so appreciated. I know McDonaldâs is a tough job, I worked there for years! But thereâs something to be said for people who do their job well in an environment where you sometimes have to deal with the worst of the worst. This manager deserves a raise! I hope he sees this and knows our small interaction that day meant a lot to me and I see and appreciate your hard work. Thank you for caring about the customer and being great at your job!đđđđđYouâre...
Read moreI had ordered a number seven and when I got it the fries were so hard that I hurt my tooth and so did my nephew. I called and spoke to a very nice manager and he told me that I could come in and that I could get a free meal. So I came in and once again order the same meal. The sandwich was good but once again the fries were so incredibly hard that I didn't even eat them. I know that they're supposed to change their fries. I go to McDonald's all the time and I have never once out. I've been in the food industry so it's not new to me. First time, okay but my second time as well? I'm not behind the scenes but it seems to me like they don't throw away fries if they start going stale and old and they have been out for hours. I think they use them until they're gone which is not what you're supposed to do. I shouldn't hurt my teeth on them and neither should my nephew. I have never had a problem with McDonald's before. The people there are very nice which is why I didn't give it one star. The manager was extremely friendly. But as far as their food goes, I can't elaborate enough how hard they were. And the second ones I couldn't even break in half with my fingers..... So I just didn't eat that second order of fries. Great people, but they need to follow Health restrictions ECT. I won't be going there again because I do work hard for my money and I don't want to spend it when I can't even...
