PJ's Coffee — Restaurant in Mandeville

I've been a loyal customer here (Dove Park location) for years. However, the quality of service seems to vary and is very inconsistent the last year or so. The employees never really seem like they're in a good mood or enjoy what they're doing, the food quality is inconsistent as well as the coffee. Cleanliness is also rather noticeable as the location being dirty is an often occurrence (the black leather chair area mainly). Also, they’ve had missing back splash tiles missing/fallen for over a year now and they’ve just been left that way.

They have some super-duper oven that for some reason either makes the food scolding hot or cold by the time you get to your seat. I had a scone today that was cold on the right, warm on the left, and felt as though it wasn't cooked fully (this happens often as well). Pastries seem doughy in the center (muffins and scones). Sometimes the granita looks like chocolate milk; sometimes it looks like it has no mocha at all. Perhaps quality or training needs to improve. I'm never one to post something like this but it makes it hard trying to remain loyal when the business can't deliver. However, the Hwy 22 location...

Very disappointed today!! I go here almost every morning before work. Some days I get charged 5 dollars and change one day, but the next day I get charged 6 dollars and change, for the exact same item!! When I inquired about it I was told that the barista that charged me the lesser amount was going it incorrectly. So instead of apologizing and the manager saying she would talk to her staff, she basically blew me off. One dollar is not a big deal, but for a single mom who wants to spend her money by giving back to local business, that is practically another cup of coffee for me. And to top it off, no other PJ's changes me over six dollars for this particular item. I will be going to the other store in Mandeville...

The 2 girls working on Sunday, 7/13/25 at 1:30 at the dove park location need to not be working or have a grown up there babysitting. It took us 7 times to explain a simple drink. It was given to us totally wrong and by the the time we finally got it it was still wrong. A medium cold brew with whole milk, 2 sugars and whip in top. I even said no chocolate at all. We left with chocolate drizzle all over the top. This generation needs to get off their phones and start learning how to listen and communicate.
