The Local Yolk — Restaurant in Manhattan Beach

Something has really gone downhill with this place where the food has gotten not only increasingly more bland, but rotten. See photos. The chicken breast taste like somebody cooked a frozen chicken breast 2 weeks ago and heated it up in the microwave to the point where it's so dried out it's almost indistinguishable next to the toast. The only taste whatsoever in the biscuits and gravy comes from the small amount of black pepper and absolutely nothing else. Four tablespoons of salt couldn't change the non-existent flavor. Go ahead and pay the extra $3.50 to upgrade your fruit to strawberries and blueberries only but they're likely to be served rotten. Somebody actually took a look at several chunks of rotten fruit, upcharged for them, and thought it was reasonable to charge someone for. Biked down from the marina, so I was hungry when I got there, I liked the name haha. Brian was my server, he was great! I cannot believe how much food they give you. I ordered the Popeye omelet-spinach, avocado, mushrooms and bacon, which I got on the side. You have a choice of potatoes or fruit, I chose fruit. All the fruit was fresh, not out of a container from their supplier (banana, melon, pineapple, orange). One also had a choice of toast, fresh muffin, something else I cannot remember or pancakes. I am very disappointed. I tried to get a refund. The food was uneatable. The hollindays was clearly from a can and the eggs where over cooked and everything else was raw. When i called to discuss the issues they hung up on me after telling me it was postmates problem. Well postmates delivered on time but they did not cook it. If i could give them a negative rating i would. And i am a very cool person. And never post bad reviews. But this was the worst. Do not waste your money.
