These burgers were amazing.
I ordered the Big D with half fries and my partner ordered the Urban Cowboy with the white cheddar cheese curds. 2 medium cherry limeades as well. Total came out to be around $40.00
But the burgers oh boy those burgers were filling and delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. My mouth is honestly watering just thinking about them. Whether you get it plain or with the toppings of your choice it will hit the spot.
Partner got the bacon and egg with their burger which were additional charges. The egg was cooked over medium so you didnt get the yolk running all over your hands. The bacon was soft with a crunch on the outside.
The fries are beer battered and were perfectly crispy and soft. They were also salted enough.
The white cheddar cheese curds were so freaking good! I definitely took one or two from my partner.
Food came out very quickly! We didnt have to wait long at all and they will call out your oder at the window to pick up or bring it to you.
You can get the food to go or they have three tables outside and limited seating inside. If you do sit outside there's going to be some flies(as expected- they are next to a gas station and again you are outside). But it was a really nice day out and we enjoyed our time sitting and eating.
Highly recommend this place if you just want a good burger and maybe some fries or cheese curds. I will definitely be back to try those onion rings and one of their sandwiches or...
Read moreAbsolute best burger in town-- tasty seasoning, big squishy bun, and a fresh delicious patty (or 3, no one's judging). We go every time we have a long day. The kitchen is sparkling clean and beautifully organized every single time. The dining room has the quintessential small town "hole in the wall" feel, with diners' signatures, a firefighting coat, and framed newspaper articles. The staff are so friendly and kind. And if you ordered to go, they always theatrically point at you and flash the biggest grin because your order's up!! :) comfy outdoor seating is also available with a front row seat to the sunset. Don't sleep on the chorizo burger and definitely put an egg on top- you won't regret it! The sides are super delicious. Highly recommend the fried Mac and cheese balls. The corn nuggets are also divine. And treat yourself to that milkshake... if you still have room! Portion sizes are great and pricing is so, so affordable. I ordered to go and ate out by the campfire. To go orders are lovingly packaged to stay hot all the way home! Sprint, don't run!
Update: the jalepeno poppers are...
Read moreReally the BEST I have had recently! This little gem has changed names and is now Ana's Burger Shack. It is off the beaten path, but apparently many locals know it, as our BW hotel room clerk Sam sent us there, and many come for take out. It is quick and yummy and had great local ingredients. You go to the counter to order, and most folks leave but there are a couple tables to eat there. We were welcomed by Les, who was proud to tell us their food is quality, and cheeses are from Alma's Creamery, and their meats are from the Clay Center Locker, and their buns are potato bread and substantial, delicious. There are many sizes and choices of cheeses and toppings, and we got both fries and onion rings to try; they were fabulous! My 1/3 size burger was plenty, with cheddar cheese and a wonderful bun, and my chocolate shake was rich and delicious. I am so happy we found this jewel of a place while spending the night in Manhattan!...
