Today was my first time visiting this place. And it will be my last time too. I did some research several times before visiting. I read numerous comments. I came into the place and waited for a minute thinking someone would hear the door open. Finally I rang the bell on the counter this lady came from the back on her cellphone trying to talk to me and the person on the phone. I am smiling and trying to tell her this was my first time here and I heard about this place and would like to check them out. I started asking questions about the menu on the wall, she was kind of rude with explaining it to me.( Some old tall lady) I could tell that I was getting on her nerves. I had questions to ask. Anyways, I mentioned wanting the goat meat. It was like she cut me off to let me know it was 30.00 dollars. After my food was ready, I checked my bag to see what it looked like. Apparently she was being nosy in my bag. She noticed I had an extra fufu. She stopped assisting another customer at the register to ask for my bag to take one fufu out. The portion for the egusi soup was little for 9.95. You would really have to order the 18.99 for one person. I was looking inside my bag because I thought maybe some spilled out. No that want the case, However folks s\these negative comments are true. This lady should not be allowed to assist customers at all. I didn't want to let her steal my joy by acting like her. because I knew she was taking my order and going back into that kitchen. Plus, I had just gotten off work and drove over 30 minutes.. Please don't spend a dime in this place. Not even for a cup of water. I haven't tried...
Read moreI usually do not like to write low rating reviews and have been debating writing this one for months, but this is needed to hopefully lead to a change. I visited this restaurant with a family member a few months ago. We walked in, were not greeted nor acknowledged in any way. When someone finally did come to the counter to take our order, an older lady, she did not smile or say hello. She asked me what swallow I wanted and when I asked which ones they offered she abruptly and hurriedly gave me one choice. (So why ask what I wanted if there was only one)
As “other” customers walked in she smiled and greeted them and had small talk etc. When our food was ready she rang me up on the card reader and walked to the back, leaving me to pay alone. She didn’t say good bye, she didn’t say thank you. She didn’t say anything. She in-fact never came back from the back! I guess I could have just not paid, but I don’t do that!
I am not sure who owns this place, but I also follow them on IG. I don’t believe the person who runs the IG page is this mean, rude lady. Someone should really address this or just keep her behind the scenes. Customer service is important and no customer should be made to feel unwelcome and...
Read moreI give them one star because they are full of it. I walked in today and ordered goat with fried rice to go. The lady punched in the charges $18 I asked for a receipt I was told they are out of paper (nothing to show what you being charged for). When I got the food it only had two bony pieces of goat meat in what to me looks like goat curry and alot of rice. I seeked clarification on why I was overcharged Because just by presentation it was screaming rip off. The lady shrugged me off, I walked away but when I got to my car and driving off she flagged me stating she charged me for something another customer had and refunded $2. She did know that I was there when that customer paid her $18 and customers seemed caught off guard by the charge (it was two customers in restaurant). Overall the food is overpriced and they try to cheat customers with extra charges. If you craving goat meat just go to an Indian buffet restaurant and eat more for less $$. They only good thing is they offer bottled water with...
