When I tell you this place is good, THIS PLACE IS GOOD!!! I’m typing this right after I took a bite of the Raspberry Lemon cheesecake (?) AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE… Today was my birthday so we decided to go get a pastry. I saw they’re croissants online and went to go to try it. It was all sold out, unlucky me, but it also just tells me they are really good!!! So I went to pick out a cake, I decided to get the Raspberry Lemon cheesecake. Turns out it was one of the bakers favorites. There’s NO WORDS to describe this cake. I don’t even like cake like that. I can only have like 2 bites and be done. I’m almost finishing it right now though, if they can tell you how good it is, I’m going to be sad when I finish it, but im goin to take a break to describe this luxurious cake. On the image, the top layer is a nicely drizzled raspberry drizzle. (Not the best at explaining) right beneath it’s the creamy smooth frosting. Next layer is the lemon cake going on with the lemon filling. Probably my favorite part. Moving on to the raspberry and ? Layer. Nice, creamy, and soft. And the rest idk. I’m not a professional. Just tryna help y’all get a grasp of what I’m trying to tell y’all about. Service was very nice and sweet! I couldn’t hear him that much. But my mom told me everything that he said so he wasn’t that quiet. Just normal quiet I guess you’d say. The other costumers were also very nice! We talked to a lady that had been there before, and she was PROUD to say she loved that place. She was very nice and even got the same cake as us! Overall, I give this place an 9.8/10 -0.1 because of me not being able to hear -0.1 because no croissant :(...
Read moreMy rating is based on actually having a pastry shop in Mansfield, the location is close by and the owners husband and wife team...love the concept. The shop is quaint, clean nothing really fancy. They display their works of art so that you may make a decision. I am not knocking this establishment in any way. I went inside looking to have a small cake made for my daughters birthday. Nothing fancy, two tier unicorn cake. They pulled a picture from a previous cake they had made for another customer. I told her that it was perfect! but that I did not need the cake to be as big because we are having a small party. I also told her price was not concern just didn't want a lot of leftover cake. I was thinking the cake would cost around 160.00 dollars, she went back using smaller pans, removing one layer from each tier, white cake butter cream icing with a loving smile on her face and gives me a piece of paper that she had written down how much she could make the cake for, I nearly died $368.00. So although nice, very expensive. I went to Tom Thumb spoke to an equally nice woman who cared just as much about creating this special cake for our special little girls birthday. Very same cake design two differences no glitter icing and the price. Tom Thumbs price $21.99 our daughter will be just as...
Read moreWorst cakes ever. I would give it a zero stars if I could. They might decorate the cakes all nice looking, but they taste horrible.
First off, we requested a 12noon pick up. We arrived at 12:20 and they weren’t done with it yet. That should have been clue #1 that the cake wasn’t going to be good. They obviously overcooked the cake and rushed getting it ready. We went back at 1:30 and they still weren’t done. Our event was starting at 2pm and we are at the bakery at 1:30 with no finished cake. They finally brought it out at 1:50. Smh!!! We got a 4 layer cake for our special occasion and it was as dry and as hard as cardboard. And that is no exaggeration. It was as hard as cardboard. We got strawberry with chocolate mousse and on the top layers and white with buttercream on the bottoms. The cake was dry, the mousse was rock hard. Mousse is supposed to be soft, not hard. We could hardly cut the cake it was so dry and hard. Nobody at our event thought the cake was good. It ruined the entire event. We threw the rest of the cake in the garbage where it belongs. We should have just gotten a Walmart cake. That would have been better than the one from this place. At least Walmart cakes are somewhat soft.
