Madigans Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Maple Lake

The wife and I have had bad service in other restaurants but tonight blows all others away. We have frequented this place many times in the past(before covid) and have had wonderful service and great food, we even brought and recommended this place to friends and family but tonight, WOW WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! First thing that happened was we seated our selfs in a both, the waitress walked by but didn't seem to notice that we were there, but another couple who came in behind us and they sat at a high table directly across from us got menu's right away and their drink order taken. Then the waitress noticed us and gruffly tossed our menu's on the table and asked "What you having to drink?", not in a nice tone but one that felt like if was an effort to help us. My wife got her wine and I ordered one of their specialty cocktails. When she delivered the drinks again her tone was bad. She took our order, the wife ordered a sirloin with baked potato and asparagus with a salad with French and Thousand dressing, and I ordered the Steak fajitas with a egg roll for an appetizer. Well they brought the wife's salad like right away and you can't even call it a salad. It came on a plate in wedge form with the other ingredients on the side and also she didn't get the right dressing, she got Ranch or Blue Cheese and French instead. When our meals came my wife's sirloin was more like a 1/4 roast, over cooked bake potato and limp asparagus. The so called sirloin was BLUE(raw) and she said it tasted bad. My meal was OK but hardly any flavor. We said something to another waitress about my wife's meal and she asked if my wife wanted something else but my wife declined and asked for the meal be taken off. When we received the ticket we noticed the prices for some items were wrong, again waited for grumpy to come around to fix the issue but instead of it being corrected it got worse. I don’t know why we bother but once or twice a year we take my elderly mom to Albion Ridge golf course to golf and then to eat at this place afterwards. The golf courses great but his place is not. It’s a zero. The service and food is not good. Today the bar tender was so rude to me we should have just left. But as a someone who doesn’t want to start anything or complain I let this guy just be rude to me. There were two high top tables of locals. We sat at a low top. The bartender who was covering the two other tables and watch us sit down. After talking to the two other table was yelling from the bar tender feet away. I didn’t know he was talking to us yelling you having drinks or food. Then when i realized he was yelling at me, my husband and 86 year old mother he rudely says who else am i talking to the people behind you. No one was in the table behind us. Then when he had to bring my salad he just threw it down and the silverware wraps. My husband was this guy hates you and you haven’t done anything. I ordered fajitas and they were horrible. Chicken was like leftovers reheated. The tortilla chips were so stale I couldn’t even bite through one. My mom like her quesadilla so that what’s matters because it’s about spending time with her at this time in life. Our bill was delivered it was 66 and some cents. When she got the slip to sign and it was for 23 and something so I know the rang the wrong table and being an honest person I let him know they didn’t ring up the ring up the right amount. They corrected the issue and I got my $66 bill. I left $20 even though it was not deserved. I told my husband this is the every last time we will ever come to this place again after golfing at Albion Ridge. Every time we come here the service is horrible. Is it because we’re not a local? I do live in Minneapolis but I am not rude or snotty and always over tip even when not deserved. I will find a new place to take my mom that’s...

Not much to say here... Had a M&S burger garlic cheesy bread, plus a Chicken and jalapeño pepper pizza & it was a flat-out disappointment !!!!!!!

The garlic bread... Literally 8 small hand women sized fingers of Walmart French bread. No garlic flavor, the sauce wasn't as bad....

Pizza: The only thing good was the cheese, chicken & chunk size but everything else just sucked..... the pizza sauce was flavorless,, the dough was like rubber , burnt edges and raw at the same time !!!! Hand tossed crust was more like a thin crust and chewy as a shoe sole !!!

Burger was dry, juicyness came from the tomato !!! Hardly any mushrooms for a mushroom and swiss...... Fries were OK.

Service: I nearly died of dehydration - they were talking and walking to others, she looked at my empty cup & didnt come back around for refills. . There was another waitress who came by, took the miscellaneous plates and left... Then some random customer looking guy came to the table....
