I have to say I read all the reviews and I personally disagree. Moved to NJ about a year and a half ago this is the best pizza we have tried. Coming from the city we had a couple of solid standards but we still like and prefer to come to taconellis. The pizza is cooked in an extremely hot oven so gives that rustic feel all high quality ingredients. They hide nothing in the kitchen they make all pizza in your sight. It’s clean, they have good service , it’s BYO that alone gives 4 stars. We get the pasta on occasion but really love the pizza. I have found that pizza is personal I read lots of negative reviews on here and shake my head. Clearly if you come here on any given Friday or Saturday night you will see it’s packed, line waiting to sit and plenty of pick up take out traffic. I don’t mind the price because I love the pizza. I love that they don’t prebake and throw on the top of the oven to wait for you to pick up. It’s freshly made, hot and given to you at the peak of freshness. The dining room is often buzzing with patrons and all seem to be enjoying themselves . I am a loyal fan and continue to tell people where your restaurant is. We take people here often and love the pizza. We tend to two standards white pizza ... and Italian sausage pizza. We have tried many others. We have had all of the salad options love the Greek and garden the best. It’s a solid pizza shop with a proven following . If your a penny pincher hurry over to Little Cesar’s. I do wish you took cards but that doesn’t stop me. Great job guys and girls. Excellent service...

I recently celebrated my brother’s birthday here, a night I had been eagerly anticipating. I had saved up to treat my entire family, and we were all looking forward to a special dinner together.
The evening started off wonderfully. The food was absolutely delicious, and our waitress, Bernadette, was fabulous and very attentive. However, our experience took an unfortunate turn towards the end of our meal.
As we were waiting for our dessert, the hostess approached our table and informed us that we had only a few more minutes because the table was reserved for another party at 6:30. At this point, we had only been there for an hour and 15 minutes, and no time limit was mentioned on the website or during my phone reservation. The way the hostess handled this situation was incredibly disappointing. Her abruptness completely changed the mood at our table, making us all feel anxious and upset.
To make matters worse, when I asked to speak to the manager, the hostess curtly told me that the manager “wasn’t in.” I expressed my concerns to her, but I didn’t receive an apology or any acknowledgment of the issue. It was disheartening to have our celebration marred in this way.
What started as an exciting family dinner ended on a sour note, leaving us all feeling bummed out. While the food and service from Bernadette were exceptional, the handling of our table situation by the hostess and the lack of management response left much...
Read moreMy family has hosted numerous 20+ person dinners at Tacconelli’s without issue. Not anymore! After a disappointing dining experience with my boyfriend’s family last week, he left a constructive review on Google. Our table (of seven) was served pasta entrees an entire 30-35 mins before my plain cheese pizza. When a member of my party voiced our frustration to the waitress, she was argued with and told that was “how it goes.” We weren’t asking for a refund, just a simple apology! For the first time in our lives, we chose to forgo tipping, as our service went out of their way to treat us poorly.
My boyfriend disclosed this unprofessionalism to the owner of the establishment, Vince Tacconelli, by way of Instagram DM. While initially “understanding,” he then proceeded to badger my boyfriend into removing the review; even calling him through Instagram at 8 AM this morning to “sort it out.” Given that he was at work, my boyfriend ignored this frankly bizarre behavior until Vince sent the message below, accusing us of lying about our experience in his restaurant and subsequently banning us. As if we’d ever return! Wouldn’t give another red penny to this guy and you shouldn’t either. Perhaps he should pay his workers better instead of guilting dissatisfied customers into giving tips that...
