Probably the most incompetent, least customer service-aware DQ I have ever been to. The young man taking my hot fudge malt order couldn't get it right...didn't know what "just a little extra malt powder" meant (I even had to explain to him what malt powder was). And in his confusion, he repeated back "Chocolate malt..." when I ordered hot fudge malt. I must have repeated and/or clarified the order five or six times. That wasn't the worst. I was charged $.59 for the extra malt powder, even though I only wanted that "Just a little extra." And the person making the malt didn't get it, either, because it came way overloaded with malt powder, to the point where it really didn't taste good. Much of the hot fudge was stuck to the side of the cup, and never made it into the ice cream...that didn't help, either. That still wasn't the worst. When I asked to speak to the manager about the extra charge, he said he didn't make the prices (I get that), but that there was nothing he could do about it (I don't get that). A store manager that can't do anything about a completely botched order and a ridiculous extra charge? Come on. He completely blew me off. In fairness, I didn't realize that the extra malt bomb had ruined my treat until I got up the road. I could have made a better case. Clearly the communication between the order-taker and the malt-maker was totally screwed up or non-existent. There are lots of places to go to get ice cream treats. Read moreStopped in for a blizzard. Drive thru line was really long so I went inside and ordered my blizzard. 15 minutes later I didn't have my blizzard and the dozen+ other people waiting in the lobby didn't have their ice cream orders either.
We were then told the ice cream machine was broken. Another customer and I then asked for a refund because we couldn't wait even longer to get our orders. Staff said they would need the manager to come up to give a refund. We then asked for them to get the manager and staff said he was busy fixing the machine and that it was the third time that day the machine stopped working.
A young man then came over to the register and said he would figure out how to refund the ice cream orders, which he did. He was not the manager. I left after almost 30 minutes of waiting with no ice cream.
Things happen. Machines break. My complaint is that they continued to take orders for ice cream knowing that the ice cream machine was broken. There were at least a dozen orders lined up on the counter with people waiting, and that doesn't count the people outside in the drive thru. They should have told people when we were placing our orders that the machine was broken and they were working to fix it but it could be awhile before we could get ice cream orders. Then we could have decided if we wanted to, or had time to wait.
Next time I will go to a different DQ location. Please learn to treat your customers better and be respectful...

I mean 3 times they have been ridiculous! Shame on me for even going back the 2nd time. But the first time, not to mention the other times I had gone there wasnt to great either., employees are just rude and have the worst attitude! It's your jobbbbbbbbb dont work there then if you dont like it or for whatever other reason you gotta be rude for. Attitude that isnt called for, acting like you ain't happy you work in fast food welp that's your choice. Suck it up and be better at customer service. The one guy there I have no problem with he seems very nice and upbeat. But back to my first time, I had ordered my basket of hot honey buffalo wings, the cashier at the window rolled her eyes and showed it out the window. Not to mention I end up getting food poisoning from them.... 2nd time, attitude and wouldnt listen to what I had to say, this 3rd time though she didnt want to use my coupon, and was really obnoxious
