I'ved heard so many good things about the restaurant and was excited to try it.
I stopped by the restaurant earlier today, I noticed a substantial lunchtime crowd around 12:45 PM. Our waitress efficiently seated us and provided water within approximately five minutes. After a bit, our server returned to take our order, which included two servings of their special Pho, a Mini Thai Boat noodle, Lab Esan, spring rolls, Vietnamese coffee, and Thai Tea. We appreciated the waitress's upfront communication about potential delays due to the restaurant's busyness.
However, despite our patient wait of 15 minutes, a group of Mekas came in. They were seated promptly, offered water, and received their orders before we did. This discrepancy in service timing left our table feeling somewhat disappointed.
We should have received our drinks and appetizer first.
Our eagerly anticipated dishes eventually arrived, with the Lab, Boat Noodles, and Spring Rolls somewhat meeting our expectations.
The Pho, however, presented a different story. Upon inspection, our two bowls of Pho did not match our original order of the special pho; instead, we received two bowls of their BBQ chicken pho. This unexpected substitution left us somewhat disappointed. Regrettably, we chose not to inform our waitress due to our hunger and the extended wait we had already endured.
Adding to our concerns, our Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea were never served.
Upon completing our meal, I approached the cashier, who happened to be our waitress, to express our dissatisfaction regarding the incorrect order and missing beverages. In a commendable gesture, he offered a heartfelt apology and adjusted our bill by removing one of the pho order. We appreciated the prompt resolution of the matter. This will be our first...
Read moreWould give ZERO stars if that was an option! Ordered for pick up at 5:00pm. Online said would be ready at 5:25, so we waited until 5:30 to actually depart our home. Got there and the guy asked, "oh, you're here for the pick up?" And then said, "ok, be patient, wait, ok?" And went to the kitchen and did not come back with our food until 5:55pm!
Got home, opened the food and omg! The Sesame chicken was so sad! There were like 10 pieces! Such a small portion! I even upgraded the steamed rice from that entree to fried rice for an extra $2 and they didn't even give it to us! The chicken was dry and the sauce was very diluted with water.
Also ordered a Bun Dac Biet dish with beef and the sauce was not good. The beef was mixed into the sauce and there were only one 6 or 7 diced pieces. I have never eaten a bun dac biet with this kind of dark sauce and having the meat mixed instead of being served together with the rest of the food and noodles. Speaking of noodles, they were at least a day old. It was cold, and hard to separate and mix when the sauce was added to it. Ate a few bites and the it out because it did not taste fresh.
Pad thai meat was dry and I had to dig through it to find the 6 pieces of meat.
Raw laab was too runny with blood so we had to drain some of it out.
So I called the restaurant back 3 times and they did not pick up. The 4th time this girl picked up and didn't even listen to my complaint and told me she will have the manager call me back. So 1 week later and I still have not heard back from them! Horrible service and horrible food! Never...
Read moreThis restaurant is notorious for being extremely slow on the orders they accept using DoorDash or Grubhub. As a driver who does thousands of orders a year, it isn’t acceptable for wild orchid to take 30 plus minutes of my time to sit and wait for them to make orders.
The gig platforms, DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber eats rely on a very complex algorithm that takes into account normal and busy times for stores and allows the stores to update the status of their store every second they are open. These algorithms allow for drivers to be automatically dispatched to delivery food hot and fresh from hundreds of locations each day in Minnesota.
Delivery drivers on these platforms don’t get paid a single penny for waiting and actually end up paying to do orders at locations like this because of wait times. 3 minutes is acceptable to wait for a meal to get finished. 34 minutes. Not acceptable.
I’ve tried more than 50 orders from this location on multiple platforms. Every single order has had excessive (greater than 10 min) waiting times. That’s not how you partner or do delivery business. It’s about your staff knowing how to triage orders and prioritize the work flow. It’s obvious that despite repeated coaching from drivers and companies wild or hid doesn’t care. Please fix this and I...
