My friends and I ordered the following:
Basket with the catch the day, which I believe was triple tail, and a side of fries: The fries were great, the fish was very good, although it needed a bit of salt (better than being overly salty!).
Catch of the day taco with coleslaw: my friend said the coleslaw was unusual and not really to her liking (she likes vinegar based coleslaw, but she said this had a strange flavor). The soft taco shell was quite full of fish and extras, and, while the fish was good, overall the taco seemed tasteless to her.
Combo platter with the catch of the day: this friend enjoyed his meal, but wished that there was cocktail sauce for the shrimp. He said the beans and rice had a nice flavor. He was not happy that the shrimp and fish were piled on top of said beans and rice - he said if it was a "platter" they should be next to it (even though the menu actually states the fish is served over the beans and rice).
We ordered a piece of Keylime pie, but they did not bring it out with our meal, I had to go back up to the counter and get it. I felt that it was a little too sweet and little "gooey". My friends were not impressed with it. But, pie is pie, and always welcome in my mind!
When you come in, you order at the counter and then have your choice of seats inside or out. They will bring your food to you. All the drinks are in bottles or cans in the cooler next to the order counter.
Parking is tight, although there are about a dozen spaces. Restrooms are outside around the corner - not sure if they were a "common" restroom to be used by the rest of the little shopping center or if they were LeeBe's alone.
The food came out quickly and the catch of the day for all of us was well cooked, tender and free of any bones. I thought we got a good amount of fish...
Read moreI’m not trying to be mean but I truly have no idea how this place is rated so well. First it’s cash only and nowhere on their website does it say that. So the first night we tried, we had to leave after driving 30 mts. Had i known, we wouldn’t have went back. But the next night we did. We waited an hour for 4 tacos. That were Nothing to write home about. I think the key is to get a basket and not tacos. Tacos literally were basically black bean soup. The beans were not drained well at all so my taco got super soggy. And then topped with a very basic cabbage mix. We never saw any sign of the sour cream or cheese that was supposed to be on there. A few strands of cilantro. We had four orders in our group. And one of the orders sat there for prob ten mts while they made the other orders. So fries were cold and taco was a soggy, Unflavorful mess. And not one word acknowledging the length of time it took to get food. We could see in the kitchen. They need some serious organization and revamping. There were 4 workers in a tiny space but they spent 80% of the time trying to read and figure out tickets. They were switching around who was doing what and it was just generally super inefficient. Many times food would sit there for a long time until they could finish the order. And order after order we watched it sit there and then they would realize it was a to go order and repackage it for to go. We love to support local holes in the wall like this place but with our experience, unfortunately we just can’t recommend it. I do not like to leave poor reviews, but this place really needs to revamp their processes and approach to food and...
Read moreLee be fish is by far the best restaurant in all of Marco and one of the best restaurants in Florida. My family and I rent a condo in the Marco island Inn Villas which is next door to the shops of Olde Marco, so everyday I was here I got something from Lee be's which was 6 days in a row. Everyday I went I ended up getting the Fried grouper sandwich with a side of Fries which is both fresh and delicious. My dad got the fish taco one day and said it was amazing. Also one day when I was in the pool a lady told me the shrimp tacos were to die for. One day I was there, Larry, who is in charge of keeping everything clean and up to shape in the shops, was there and asked if I had tried the Shrimp. I hadn't so he told Eddy who is one of the cooks to grill me up some so he did. I tried them and they were just as good as the Grouper sandwich. It was the best shrimp I have ever had. The workers are both fun and courteous. Tammie who works the counter is a very fun person to talk to. If she had the time I would bet she'd talk about fishing all day with you. Eddy who is one of the cooks and works the counter when Tammie's not there is very friendly and helpful. He's funny and interacts with his customers. I can't wait to return to Marco and eat all their Grouper Again. I highly recommend you go to this restaurant....
