Read such a rave review in the Naples News, we thought we would go there yesterday afternoon. Got our order taken right away so we sat at a table. Lots of take out orders going out. People coming in ordering to eat in. after about 1/2 hour food started coming out and going to other peoples tables that had come in after us. We ordered an Antipasto salad and a dinner of eggplant with pasta. Finally 2 side salads came out that came with dinner which we were not aware of; finally a young lady was coming around looking for someone who ordered an Antipasto. I called her over and got the salad before she could give it to another table. It was ok, not the Antipasto salads I am used to with a variety of meats. This just had a roll up of ham with salami in the middle with a lot of lettuce. Finally after another 20 minutes I got up to see where our entrees were. The girl looked a little confused and said you ordered it? She went and said something to the owner Tony, who was very nice. He said oh sorry, we are so busy, I'll take care of it right away. After another 20 minutes our meal came out. So sorry, we couldn't find your slip!! Well anyway. Eggplant was way too over cooked no texture to it and the pasta that I had ordered was barely warm and actually cool in some spots. My friend and I only took a few bites and then asked for to-go boxes then we left. Needless to say we will not be going back to this establishment...
Read moreStopped in for a slice. Decided to purchase a Sicilian slice. I was surprised on the price of the slice $5+ but iBought it anyways. I was quite impressed with it. It had a nice flavor and nice light dough too. Since I had a pleasant experience( except for the price of the Sicilian slice ). Two days later I decided to buy a Sicilian Pie ( if you average out a pie slice it is more reasonable than an individual over the counter Sicilian slice🤦♂️🤷♂️. ( that is how it seem it is in south Florida. Because I do not remember it being such a price difference in NY ) to bring back to my friends home. When I got the pie home the taste was there. But it was not the same consistency on the dough. It was not as airy as the individual slice was. If they needed more time to allow the dough to rise more. I should have been informed that instead of handing me that pie. To say the least I was once again disappointed by a pizzeria down in Florida. They all seem to do the same thing and that is they have no constancy with their product. We will chalk this experience up to the old saying. You fool me once shame on them. If you fool me twice shame on me. Next time if I open the box up and it is not to my liking I will tell them directly. If that happens they will have one less customer...
Read moreI was super excited to try Tony's for the first time, and wasn't sure whether to get a calzone, or a pizza. So I was so excited that you can get pizza by the slice!! I got there just before 7pm, and it was pretty busy. I ordered a calzone, and a slice to go. They said it would be 20 min. By the time I went back to pick up my order, there was a line almost out the door with people trying to order, and my order took just a few more mins past the 20 min wait. Nbd. The dining room of maybe 9 tables was full of people eating. I was very tempted to get the garlic rolls, as they looked delicious too! Next time! 😁 My calzone and slice were both YUMMY and I can't wait to go back! Don't let any negative reviews discourage you. They've only been open about a...
