The biggest positive was that it was very clean and the staff were friendly. The food, on the other hand, was quite the disappointment. We frequent these types of establishments while we travel with a decent amount of regularity. One red flag we should’ve taken note of sooner was the fact that they do not have fries or any other fried items on their menu. The absence of a deep fryer in a restaurant indicates a scant amount of actual cooking is done there. While hopeful about the burger experience, both the texture and pale gray color of the burger insinuated that the patties were pre-cooked, packaged and simply reheated on premises prior to serving. The additional $.50 each for tomato and lettuce to be added to the burger was also a bit unsettling…but as a surprising bonus, I must admit that the thick tomato slice was the best part of the meal. But overall, the burger was disappointment #1. The second disappointment was the $4.50 “pulled pork nachos” that arrived in a single serve styrofoam container with what appeared to be canned pulled pork drizzled across the top. This toddler sized portion would’ve been acceptable had we paid only $2-3. The nachos didn’t taste terribly, but again, was about the same quality as the burger which aligned with what you’d expect at a little league baseball concession stand. Disappointment #3 was my birthday cake flurry. Aside from the sprinkles on top, I couldn’t really discern anything else that hinted at birthday cake flavoring. Multiple times I wondered if they forgot to do anything else to my flurry other than to add the sprinkles. My partner's strawberry/cookie dough flurry was; however, pretty tasty and served as the only bright spot to our meal other than the clean restrooms. We enjoy supporting local business; however, I would’ve liked to know that we were in purely for a concession stand or school lunch experience prior to choosing this...
Read moreI don't really write reviews but I had to bring attention to the employee that was working today. I came to have ice cream with my daughter and grandson and while there, a bus of people came. She had about 12 tickets at a time, was working alone, and did amazing! I think they had just gotten a shipment as well and the employee stayed calm, collected, and extremely nice to everyone while still getting orders out quickly, putting cold stuff in fridges, as well as returning my grandsons toy to him. Not only that but the orders she finished looked beautiful and delicious! Really good place to go get ice cream and food as well as...
Read moreI walked in on a birthday party but it was fine as the staff treated me just as importantly as any other guest. Because it was noisy I decided to take the ice cream to go but it was really good. It was my first time there and I wasn’t sure if I was in WV or OH at this point. Wasn’t until later that I noticed where I was. Slightly confusing as the area blended together for an out of towner. But I like the change of venue and flavors from the usual DQ and TCBY...
