We went Saturday morning since the BB was very crowded for breakfast. The time was about 9:30 am. Visiting a bar for breakfast isn't really our thing, but... what the heck. We were greeted shortly and ordered our drinks. My two breakfast guests had coffee (1 with cream) and I had a Bloody Mary. 🤪 they were brought in short order and almost immediately the one guest said the coffee was cold. The other concurred. My drink was actually quit good. We had our orders ready when she brought us the drinks. But she didn't take them, instead gave us the "I'll be right back". In her case that must be 15 minutes. At first she was busy, as I observed her and the other wait staff tend to other tables. But after a bit she seemed more concerned with the few guests at the bar and wouldn't even look our way. Now keep in mind that the one guest was still waiting for her Cream for her cold coffee, and the other was not drinking anymore of his cold coffee. I continued to try and get someone's attention for about 10 minutes. We would have got up and left had I not ordered the drink, but I had to pay for it so we didn't. I was finally able to get someone's attention (waving the menus in the air) and she came and took over at that point.

From this point forward, our experience was pleasant. The food was very good. I ordered a burrito with jalapeños and the other guests ordered traditional breakfasts. We all agreed that for the money the portion sizes were good, and the food was pretty good.

Overall our experience was a 2 out of 5 because the initial bad start. I'm glad that we did stick it out to be able to experience the full Monty. Otherwise we wouldn't have been back. As it is, we will be back and hope that this was just a bad day for the...

Stopped here while visiting the area back in March 2024. Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor where they were ranked #10 out of 50 restaurants in Marietta. It was a Sunday and not too many options were available so we decided to give it a try. Nestled back in an old neighborhood. It looked more like a local drinking spot at first glance. A lighted sign in the window advertising a bologna sandwich caught my eye. Went inside and found a bustling bar with a few tables. Upon further inspection found that there was a secondary room with more tables. We picked a table with a window view looking back in at the bar. The waitress was very friendly and service was quick. Lots of variety on the menu and of course was a mention of their "Soon to be Famous Fried Bologna Sandwich" which sounded interesting but maybe save that for next time lol. I stayed conservative and got a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of cabbage sausage soup which was really good. We also shared an appetizer of bacon cheese fries which was also really good. Loved the local atmosphere, good food and great friendly service. Would definitely recommend...

Stopped in for lunch with a colleague during the work day. We both ordered the fish & chips. The establishment wasn't busy, but it took quite some time for the bartender/server to get to our table to take a drink order. He returned about 5 minutes later, without drinks, to take our food order (at which time we requested extra tartar sauce), & asked us again what we wanted to drink. Finally, several minutes later, we got our drinks. After we got our food, he didn't return to check on us. We had to flag him down to request our extra tartar sauce. The batter on the fish was good, but there was A LOT of it on the fish. Much more batter than actual fish. The fish was pretty good too. We had to catch his attention to request our bill. We were ready to pay within 2 minutes, & waited at the table for s few more before approaching the bar. We stood there for several minutes, & he still didn't return. We left the bill with cash on the bar & left. Food was decent, & had good portion sizes. Service could be...

Its a friendly welcoming spot to stop and eat a great lunch, a cold drink with an amazing staff.. When I went to the Harmar on Saturday March 5 our waiter was named Sam, and I have to say he was the best. I even started teasing Sam Sam, I am do you like green eggs and ham? He played back which was great, the drink was perfect and the fries were delicious. This is always MY want to go to place when I'm in Marietta. When friends come in from out of town and want something good to eat this is where I take them, I haven't tried anything I didn't like yet. Thank you Sam I am I do so like green eggs and ham, I'll probably eat them in a van 🙃🤪

Updated 9/2024 - Harmar is still a go to place for the area. They offer breakfast on the weekends that is delicious. Normal menu is pretty good as well, not many options but good options. They do have specials that are pretty interesting too. Fresh drinks and food, fast service, staff are attentive and friendly. First review 2018 - One of my favorite places in town, crowd is hit or miss there. Food is probably a 3 or 4 out of 5, not bad at all. Service is normally average. A little slower for parties.
