We went here for my mom's birthday. I had not had the time to eat lunch that day, so I was exceptionally hungry.

I started off with French Onion soup. Honestly, it was the best onion soup I've ever had.

Then, I ordered the beets and berries salad. It was delicious. I've never seen the blackberries so juicy, ripe. Everything was so fresh. Ah, the joys of summer. I would recommend the salmon to put with it, cooked perfectly. Everything was fantastic.

As far as the customer service experience, that was supreme. The chef and waitress did everything in their power to ensure we had an enjoyable time, and my mom had a special birthday. That is a rarity when it pertains to solid customer service. We sang happy birthday to her. The picture came out great.

Last, I split a cake with berries with whipped cream on it with my mom. We both had wide smiles on our faces.

Hence, I want to go here for my birthday! It has been a long time since I have a delicious, quality meal eating out.. Most places are mediocre at best. It was a perfect ending to a hard day. I am so glad we went here.

I have been here several times before for both lunch and dinner. It is quality food at a decent price. Thank you to the master cook and waitstaff to make it special. You are excellent at what you do!

Normally, I do not write rave reviews. I have worked customer service. Go here. I think most people would be pleasantly pleased. ...

The levee house bistro is a turd. Not even a polished turd it is a turd wrapped in chiffon served on a plate that you would see hanging in your grandma‘s living room. Atmosphere is tacky. The decorations are tacky and the place is a little dirty. We were never asked for refills on bread or wine. Butter for bread is served in small packages. The server brought out the salad and appetizer at the same time. I got the fig jam and prosciutto bruschetta and the large tomato slice had a rotten spot on it. The beet and fennel salad was served with an entire cup full of farro grains. No greens. And lacked flavor. Asian meatballs tasted like they were out of a bag, way too salty, plus out of place for the menu. For the entrée I ordered steak Au poivre. The steak was very well cooked, but underseasoned. The Poivre Sauce was creamy, but otherwise flavorless. The potatoes were not cooked well. They were done but too large for the style of preparation, skin not crispy, and lack flavor. The vegetable was fine. I had hope for this place, but I would never go back. Don’t waste your time or money. It’s just not very...

We sat outside on the patio, and it was 86 degrees out. We knew it was hot, but what we didn’t know was that we’d be sitting there for well over an hour, waiting for our food.

I ordered the French onion soup crock. Another person in our group ordered the Lobster Roll, and she also asked if the clam chowder had meat in it. The server advised us that the clam chowder did have meat, so this person opted for the Southwest Peach soup.

We got our soups… French onion tasted great, but the Southwest Peach soup had chunks of beef in it, which the other member of our party cannot eat meat… hence asking before if the other soup had meat. Then the server came back about 20 minutes later to say the lobster rolls ran out.

We waited and waited for our main course to come out, all the while sitting in the heat. Eventually, I was feeling sick from the heat that I needed to walk across the street for some air; and ended up throwing up the French onion soup.

Needless to say we won’t be back....

Amazing food! We had the strawberry spinach salad and I absolutely loved it. For appetizer we had scallops with a blueberry sauce. Some of the best scallops I've ever had, tender and delicious and the little bit of blueberry sauce with each bite was amazing. For dinner I had the crab cakes with mixed vegetables and yellow Yukon potatoes. Most restaurant's side vegetables are just blah and lying there. These were some of the best stir-fried vegetables from a restaurant we have had. My crab cakes were moist on the inside not overcooked and came with a Chipotle sauce which really highlighted the crab cakes. My husband had an old favorite of the Levee House, the chicken and pea pasta. And it did not disappoint. We were hearing raving reviews from all the tables around us about their food. We highly recommend trying out the new Levee House bistro.

We got sat at our table and we got our bread before our waters which was like 10 minutes after we got sat. The bread tasted like it came from a frozen bag. We ordered the artichoke dip which was ok, the soups were ok for what they were, but the entrees were not good. We got the shrimp and grits, along with the scallops and ravioli. The shrimp were not even blackened and there was probably like 4, the grits had mushroom which did not belong, red peppers which were still almost raw. The sauce was practically the same sauce as the other entree. The scallops were tiny for what we paid. The ravioli tasted like it came from the freezer section. Again, the sauce tasted like the shrimp and grits sauce. Overall, an ok experience.
