Riverfront Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Marietta

If i could give negative stars i would. My boyfriend and i are from out of state and we went to Marietta for the weekend and found this restaurant after googling “best food near me” when i tell you we were mistreated that is an understatement. The atmosphere felt extremely uncomfortable. It felt like every one gave us dirty looks, I dont know if it is because we are young and everyone there was old or what. The waitresses were avoiding us. He was trying to get their attention to ask a question and they would proceed to look at us and then put their head down and walk by. THEN we ordered a “Portabella sandwich” which we THOUGHT was pork but its actually mushroom (that is our faults, we didnt know) but we took 1 bite each. Only 1 and then thats it because it was disgusting. BUT THENNNN for the entire rest of the night AND STILL GOING ON (over 24 hours later) we have BOTH had EXTREME stomach pain and body pain and fatigue and extreme diarrhea (TMI I KNOW) idk what the hell was in that food but it feels like poison in my stomach and we only took 1 bite. It looked like raw fish too. Ew. Oh yea AND the waitress didnt give me the right change. It was 8 cents so i didnt say anything but still. How much worse could it get. Never again will i attempt...

I'd like to discuss this chronologically. First, there was no host to guide us on proper etiquette for seating. We asked the hotel staff if it was reservation only or something, maybe because of the festival going on, and they said it shouldn't be. To support this claim, no signs or anything were posted.

To my surprise, when I finally flagged down a member of the wait staff, I was asked if I had made a reservation. They then told me they were only doing reservations at that time. Of course I was shocked and a bit disappointed. They did make an exception, since a table had just been freed and they didn't have more reservations coming in, so they seated us.

Once our order was put in, it took 40 minutes for our food to come out. Our waitress was very nice and did all she could to accommodate us during our wait. When the food was put on the table, everything was under seasoned, except for the salmon, which tasted as if all the salt missing from all the other dishes was put on it.

While the food was subpar, the desserts were amazing tiramisu and a maple apple bread pudding. If nothing else, go for...

Never going again. I had an awful experience and time. First, I order a steakburger the waitress asked pickle, lettuce, onion tamato okay? I said yes EXCEPT onions and put the pickles on the side and ordered rance and didn’t get any and I told the bar lady and she yells “ I am the bar tender and I have others waiting for me”! So I tell the waitress “she goes mockery and rude face and goes okay you ordered onions and pickles on the side nothing else and i said no I didn’t and before I could finish she goes yes you did but i will go get you a slice. So not only was she rude to me she was clearly not listening! It really shook me up. Almost cried. wasn’t even being extra I just wanted what I ordered! Not to mention I got the tomato 10-15 min AFTER I asked for it so ate that time I was basically done eating.
