I took out 2 orders of samosa 2 orders of raita 2 orders of aloo Naan 1 order of butter chicken 1 order of lamb curry Samosa shell were good. The filling was mashed potatoes with turmeric salt and pepper. No peas. The worst samosa filling I ever had.
Raita was good, lacked ground roasted cumin seeds
Aloo Naan was stuffed with the same potato stuffing as Samosa. I didn't samosa. I didn't like in Naan.
Butter chicken was not prepared with traditional bone-in chicken thighs.seems like small chicken bits. Total amount of actual chicken was about two table spoons in 8 oz of butter sauce. The taste was acceptable.
Lamb curry was the most acceptable though it did not have traditional bone shank. It was very mild. Again the amount of meat about Tablespoons of meat in 8oz of sauce.
I paid nearly $47.00 and waited nearly over ninety minutes though there were only two tables being served in the dining room.
Thaali assorted platter is not allowed for Take out. That would have been a reasonable price wise. Otherwise, it is NOT reasonably priced place.
Worst samosa filling ever! Worst aloo Naan, made with same filling as Samosa!
This maybe a good place to dine-in but not a place...
Read moreI am an Indian. I own a restaurant in India myself. I gave two extra stars for the quality of food because the food was really good. The chef is to thank for such amazing quality food. I absolutely disliked the behaviour of the staff. We were three people and staff was ignorant all the time. When time came, and when we asked about the dishes, we were totally cut out and given incorrect answers. I say incorrect because later when we asked chef - she gave us the right answer. We were completely dissapointed after 1 hour of travel to this place. We were ignored just like everyone else was. Heck I could see the disappointment of other people too. People were refused seats and my goodness, I will never visit this place again. I wish the chef hired new staff. Ignore this restaurant at all costs. DON'T GO FOR the fake...
Read moreSo let me just start off by saying, I’ve never tried Indian food before. I ordered through DoorDash and gave it a try. Let me just say AMAZING! I got the chicken tikka masala, absolutely awesome 5/5. Chicken Pakora, really good almost like chicken tenders 4/5. Paneer pakora is like a more firm cheese stick 4/5. The garlic naan was A+ 5/5. Got the desert gulab jamun, not really my style, it kind of tasted “floral”, but I can see how some can enjoy it 2.5/5.now it’s time to talk about the star of the show the drink. I ordered the mango lassi, it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted 100/5. If you are one that is on the fence about trying Indian food, Star of India is 100% the place to...
