Iād give zero stars if I could. But this is not about the food. This is a matter that requires involvement of the corporate office. I believe my rights were violated by your staff. Without any reason given, not even being spoken to but ignored entirely when I was seen with a giant tractor trailer at 10:11pm, the door locked, a blonde woman looked at me with a scowl (not a look of concern, or fear, but resentment AND THE CAMERAS AND AUDIO SHOW THIS) and retreated into the back room of the kitchen. In my yellow and blue sweater, with a gigantic orange safety vest on I walked to the drive thru window because itās open until 11pm. With a huge Pilot Truck stop across the street. I waited 5 minutes. Nobody came to the window. No sign on the window that says āwe can not serve walk upsā after 10 minutes I knocked lightly on the window, nothing for a whole 2 minutes. Buzzers going off on the fryer, I knocked louder, the other window was shaking.
I moved it over an inch and called inside asking for someoneās help I wanted food after driving 7 hours to get there.
What did I get? Someone walking to the window to say no? Nope. Someone who just might have been scared to go to the window but perfectly safe and able to call out āwe canāt serve you at drive thru, or even though it was well within the open time till 11pm did she call out āWeāre Closedā nope⦠just silenceā¦.. completely ignored.
10 minutes later a car pulls up, and I ask are you getting food? Did they answer you at the speaker?
This young black lady tells me she works there, so I ask whatās going on here sheās ignoring me.
Was her answer āwe canāt serve not serve walk ups at drive thru? Nope. She very arrogantly says āThe diner is closedā. I then said but the sign here on the window says drive thru closes at 11pm.
Her responseā¦.. look I just want to get my food. And I said so do I Iāve been driving all day and I want that spicy chicken sandwich you advertised.
At this point she says Iām getting upset (perfectly reasonable due to treatment) and I inform her no Iām Italian this is how I talk I am not upset but if she would like an example of my voice when Iām upset Iād give it to her.
I point blank asked her is there a policy that says you canāt serve walk ups truck drivers at the drive thru as you can see my tractor trailer canāt pull into this small parking lot.
She rolls her eyes at me and picks up her phone, I say to whoever was inside it looks like your boss is calling.
10 seconds later 5 cops surround me asking whatās going on, as if that canāt be figured out with a giant truck across from a truck stop.
I explain exactly what happened to the cops. Iām just here to get some food An officer informs me maybe they donāt want my money.
So your employees, for what I can only think that they didnāt want to clean up and were stalling to close early try to get me arrested for absolutely nothing, as if I was some criminal hiding in the shadows waiting to attack some one. In a giant orange safety vest, standing for a half an hour in 30 degree weather to go to your business within operating hours, no sign, or posting, or information from a said employee that there is a āno walk up at drive thru policyā and have the cops calledā¦.
All because no wanted to eat.
All because your employees didnāt want to work, and conspired to ruin my life, my career, and get my equipment towed away which would have cost me 10ās of thousands.
Because I wanted a fucking sandwich within normal business hours.
If this blonde woman was scared of me at the window and didnāt want to come up to it fine. Sound travels at 700mps and I was at most 50 feet from her, she could have called out and said something. NO it was just ignoring me because Iām a āfuckin truckerā thatās gonna ruin her going home on time. (Another thing I donāt get the luxury of)
If she would have said ANYTHING I would have respected that and left.
No. They called 5 cops to come kick the shit out of the little fat guy.
To say that I am not completely humiliated is a vast understatement.
Keep that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe wife and I stopped into this Arby's on a recent trip between Fort Wayne and Louisville for lunch. We hadn't had Arby's in a while and sometimes it just sounds good. It's also conveniently located right off of I-65, so easy-off/easy-on.
The gentleman behind the counter was patient and informative while we made our decisions. I had one of their Market Fresh sandwiches on my mind, but apparently this location doesn't have those, so I had to settle for something else. That something else decided it wanted to be one of their Greek Style Gyros (they're always a safe bet). My wife ordered a classic Roast Beef sandwich. We also ordered a 6-piece mozzarella stick to share (I can't stand Arby's fries). Our order was not overly complicated.
Then came the wait time. It was Sunday afternoon and the place was not busy. The drive-thru was busier than the dining room, but the place wasn't slammed. There were 2 other tables occupied when we walked in. There were two other people standing by the counter waiting for orders as well.
Our food was delivered close to 20 minutes after it was ordered. Was it right? Yes. Was it warm? Mostly. As we ate we heard other customers remarking about the wait times, which I'll have to admit, were excessive.
During the nearly 45 minutes we were there no one came out to look at the dining room, and we had to wipe off a table with a napkin. There were a number of tables that needed attention and half of the trash bins needed emptying.
What started out, in theory, as a quick stop for lunch ended up being nearly an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLocated just a few miles north (exit 264) of the Gas City exit you will find this place tucked away just west of I-69. With the only thing over there being a gas station and Arby's you'd think the place would be empty as it always seems to empty.
Once you arrive to the location it leaves you with an overall positive impression. The dinning room and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is generally friendly and sometimes even a little chatty. Your order comes out correct and fresh...not tasting like its been sitting there for several hours.
During this visit they actually were busy with 2 people in the drive thru ahead of us as well as people in the dinning room. The wait was reasonable and our food tasted great. When we travel to Michigan from Indianapolis this has become the place we stop to grab a fresh drink as well as something to eat before continuing on our way.
I love that this location is right off I-69 vs the Arby's in Gas City that is located a few miles from the interstate. Worth a stop...I doubt you'll be...
