I've eaten at 5 star restaurants all around the world but nothing has prepared me for my first Arby's experience. The second I entered I was warmly welcomed by the most energetic and friendly staff. I've heard for years that if you're ever in Marion that the local cuisine is their custom made roast beef sandwiches. I was also told they were the only store east of the Mississippi that served a interesting food called curly fries. Since I drove 3 hours and crossed state lines for this unique gem of a place I just had to try it! Also their selection of fountain drinks made the trip even more worthwhile. I ordered the number 1 classic combo and had no clue what to expect. I expected to wait maybe 1 to 2 hours to prepare my cuisine but to my surprise they had everything on a cute little tray within 3 minutes!! I took my first bite out of the sandwich and an explosion of tastes and smells overwhelmed me! "Where have you been my whole life?"; I shouted not caring about the other guests glancing my way. I almost leaped out of the booth and started breakdancing but my friend calmed me down and told me to try a curly fry instead. I pulled one of these specially made fries out of the box and had my first bite. I was expecting a normal French fry taste but trust me it's MUCH DIFFERENT! "Did Arby's sprinkle angel dust on each fry?"; I asked my friend. "They must have",he told me while his mouth was filled with Jalapeño Poppers. Bite after bite the mix of roast beef and curly fries took my body and mind to another level. Thinly sliced roast beef on a sesame seed bun! What an unbelievable concept! And you thought you had to go to Chicago or Paris to be treated to a superb meal. The middle of Ohio is your one stop destination from now on! Was this the best meal of all time? Was it worth the long drive through the snow to experience heaven? Was it possible to rent out a booth at the restaurant and stay there for years? Do they HAVE the meats? Absolutely!!! On my way out of the dining room which had the rustic charm of an Alpine ski resort, I had the door opened for me by the most courteous staff members in the history of the restaurant business. The management clearly knows what they are doing. If your looking for good mood food, look no further then the Delaware Ave Arby's in Marion Ohio to fulfill your...
Read moreArby's is always a go to place for me. Their gyros are awesome, and as authentic as anywhere else that says they're Greek. They usually put out coupons every month, so it makes it an even more affordable place to eat if you feel it might be pricey otherwise. The only thing I was disappointed about on this visit, was I tried the Oreo Bites, they looked nothing like the picture, and had very little taste. They were $2.49 for five, so at $.50 a pop, they could've been a little better.
Update.... Update. Really disappointed today. Had my heart set on Arby's roast beef after working a 12 hr shift. They were $2 on the app. Spent 20 minutes at the house trying to order them. With no luck because it wouldn't let me pay, drove out to order and pay there. The cashier said she couldn't give them to me for the online price. Asked to speak to the manager, and he say he couldn't as well. I've worked in the restaurant industry before. I know they could remove whatever the price. He neglected to do that after a 15 minute drive across town. Not a happy...
Read moreLove their mozzarella sticks. They have the most stringy and flavorful breading around the cheese. But they are only good if made fresh. I used to love the crispness of their onion rings too. But I asked for them and they don't sell them no more. I got a chicken sandwich plain with cheese. I asked for the yellow cheese that they put on their burger. I received some kind of white cheese....it did NOT taste good at all. To make matters work my chicken was so dry it was very hard to swallow. I don't know what happened to their curly fries but they don't taste the same as in the old days. They have no flavor and just taste like grease/oil. It was a complete waste of money. I didn't have time to go back to get fresh due to I work 3rd shift so it was a grab and go dinner night. I work 40 mins away in East Liberty. I really wanted a couple turkey sliders but this Arby's didn't have it...
