I bring this up only because it gives me the ability to compare a bit to others. I can say, without comparison that the Harding Memorial is the hands down most impressive Presidential memorial I've been too.
It is overwhelming in size, absolutely glorious, and on first look, I was immediately reminded of the monuments in DC which it could nearly rival.

Read moreIf you’re a history geek, this is a quick stop. Parking was plentiful. Beautiful memorial with historical information plaques. We were just passing through, stayed the night in Marion while on our way to NY and happened to see a former president had a memorial/grave site in the area and decided to make a quick stop early in the morning, before we continued on our journey.

Read moreAs a historical site... it's not really a historical site. Nothing happened here except Harding's burial, so I wouldn't plan a day around it. If you really want to learn about Harding you'll go to his house. It's cool architecture though, and you don't see the tomb of a president very often, so worth a brief stop on your way through. (To non-local Pokemon GO players: this gym requires you to walk a decent ways to use it, so I recommend McKinley Park or Old Glory Rose...
