Nara Express — Restaurant in Marion

When this place first opened many years ago it was fantastic. At some point the original owners sold or left, im not sure and thats when it started rapidly going down hill. The food always taste like its just yesterdays re-heated leftovers, especially the chicken. I have a strong suspicion they they pre-cook/boil the chicken then toss it on the grill to get it warm sometimes hot, and add sauce to it. It taste like rubber and usually feels like it to when your chewing. Marion has a restaurant problem, and that being there aren't very many and only a select few are decent. If you feel like experimenting eat here, but my recommendation would be to avoid it...

My husband and I went into eat it was around 4pm there was 3 other people in the place we first thought they were talking to the cook to find they were having a conversation between them and laughing looking at us ,they totally ignored us for 10 minutes when we told the girl at the register we knew the owner we were served the wrong food and the food we got was cold they never came to the table to refill our drinks or even ask if the food was ok or nothing but they ask the other table several times I truly believe I was discriminated against .I would not suggest no one to go to...

Nara express is a Marion staple food. Sure the w hole place is ran by Mexicans now. Sure the quality of their food has tanked and there's a better place near the new Walmart. However this place invented Marion stir fry. No where else in the world does Japanese food taste like this. So considering that I've been eating at this place most of my life and I've always loved it .
