Vinatellis Italian Cafe — Restaurant in Markle

Very weird experience for many reasons..

1: After we received our drinks, our waitress made a point to ask us if we believe in Jesus. Totally fine if that’s what you believe, but weird as we were there to just enjoy a meal.

2: Placed our food order. The menu said the lunch calzone special comes with a drink, but we were told it doesn’t. Fix the menu.

3: I ordered the pizza lunch special. It comes with two toppings and a drink. I ordered pepperoni and extra cheese. The waitress put the order in, but we heard the cook in the back yell at the waitress that “extra cheese is not a topping.” I understand if that is the case, but to yell at your waitress is crazy. AND I was charged for the drink that was supposed to come with the special..

4: no music playing so we continuously heard the awkward yelling from the kitchen towards the waitress the whole time we were there. This waitress was talked to so awfully.

5: We received the wrong food! We told the waitress it was the wrong food, but the chef doubled down and said it was right. Only after several minutes of back and forth did the chef acknowledge that it was the wrong food and that the waitress gave us somebody else’s food (and hence- the yelling at the waitress continued and we heard it all from the dining room.)

Once we got the food, the garlic knots were good. Pizza and calzone were fine. Atmosphere and service? Awful. We were overcharged and left...

I love this place, and this is why I'm so upset. I have had my last bad experience at this place. I found a fingernail in my meatball sandwich a few months ago. I didn't say anything I didn't want to make trouble and I wanted to give them another chance in the future. I stopped eating here because I couldn't get it out of my head. Finally, I tried it again. Things were going well everything was as tasty as possible. I've had things left on my doorstep unattended. It happened again today. I was setting like 2 ft away from the door I heard something bumping around out there and I got up to go cuz I thought somebody was going to be knocking. Delivery person was already getting back in his car it's raining my food sitting on my doorstep It was right in front of my door so I knocked some of it over opening the door to get it. I Always give good tips always appreciate people driving doing deliveries out here in the country. I won't be purchasing anything from venetelli's again. Placed our orders and after 20ish minutes they brought out 3 of the 4 meals and informed us they didn't make our chicken parm and it would be another 40 minutes so placed another (quicker order). Over heard the waitress telling another table the same thing. Also everyone ordered individual garlic bread and it never came with any of our meals. We even asked the waitress twice to remind her. If it was busy, I'd maybe understand, but there were only 3 tables with people eating. When we asked about the garlic bread when we paid the bill, the waitress just said "sorry" and walked off as she tossed an empty to-go box on the table. No drink refills were offered, no checking up on us, no manager to check, and no refund for the missing bread. Absolutely horrendous and rude service for mediocre food. We will...
