Village Green Pizza Restaurant — Restaurant in Marlborough

Ok folks, This was our first time here. I’m going to start by saying, I have absolutely no clue where the negative reviews of this place are coming from. The three of us ordered Eggplant Parm, Eggplant Rollatini and a Stuffed Pizza. The Eggplant meals came with soup and the two people I was with are what I would call Onion Soup Connoisseurs. They both pronounced their Onion soup “delicious”. And it was served piping hot. They both loved their meals, right down to the garlic bread they came with. Both meals were plentiful. You actually would need two stomachs or have not eaten in awhile to finish them in one sitting. My dinner partners were beyond thrilled that they had more to enjoy tomorrow. Now it’s time for my meal. Years ago I used to frequent a place that made an outstanding meat lovers stuffed pizza. Over the years I could never find a place that would come close to matching it. That was until, I ordered a stuffed pizza from here! After a modification to a couple items, and asking for the marinara sauce on the side, which they were very obliging to do for me,. I think it not only matched the one I used to get. But I think it was actually better! Not to mention that I also get to enjoy more tomorrow . But while the food was top notch. The staff was right there at the top also. Maddie, Nella ( Hope I spelled it right) were super waitresses. They answered every question, made sure if we needed anything it was right there and truly made us feel like we were at a family members house, enjoying a meal! While we did not meet the chef and owner, Panos, We could tell he took pride in making his dishes. Next time we are in the area, our first stop for a meal will be Green Village Pizza, with out hesitation. Kudos to...

Only giving one star because google doesn’t allow me to give negative stars. Last week my fiancée ordered two pizzas and when I went to pick it up his order was not put through. I confirmed with the women at the register the phone number and confirmed with my fiancée the number he called they were the exact same(they also confirmed the location and town he called when placing the order). They told me it would be 15 minutes for them to make the pizzas. I sat there for well over 25 minutes waiting for my order to be made. While I was there another complaint came through regarding a gluten free order where the chef put sausage that was not gluten free on the pizza. A member of their staff made a comment that “if they have such a bad allergy they shouldn’t eat out”. When my order was ready I made a comment that as an establishment that offers gluten free products they should have the courtesy to advise if all the ingredients are gluten free. Upon arriving at home we discovered that the large pizza we ordered was disgustingly greasy and left a puddle on our table. After being home for almost half an hour a staff member then called my fiancée asking if we were coming to get our order. We advised of what we just went through to get our order. We explained the ordeal we just went through and the women continuously told me I wasn’t at their location and I was wrong. She rudely kept telling me I didn’t pay for the food and it’s sitting there getting cold.

NASTY (and I didn’t even get the food!) !! I have never been so disrespected!! I received a gift certificate for Christmas for $50. When I ordered on the phone, I told them ahead of time, the man even asked if it was paper or a card. I told him I had a PAPER certificate. “Ok, no problem” took my order. (Which was less than the $50 certificate I got for Christmas). Then I went to pick up my order, they then refused my certificate. I even tried to pay! but I didn’t have enough money on my card. They even tried to accuse me of making a copy!(Seriously? Of a $50 gift certificate lol) I left with no food, a friend who wasted $50 on nothing, and they made me feel like a scumbag just for trying to use a gift certificate I got Christmas!!
