Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Marlin

Every single time we go to eat there, they screw something up. Or everything. If you don't want to read the rest of the review, just.. Trust me. STEER. CLEAR.

A few months ago, my mother and I went in after several months [Bordering a year] of having sworn it off. [Reason being they managed to screw up our orders 4 trips in a row.] We ordered a burger, and two blizzards. My mother got some.. Peanut butter thing, and I got their strawberry cheesecake one.

Let's start with the teenage girls behind the counter. Brightly dyed hair [One with a cotton candy swirl going on]. Big lips.. Teens in what I can only hope is a thing they're going through. They were chit chatting and paying no attention to me or my mother until I slammed my hand against the counter. Before that, I heard someone talking about getting laid.. It got their attention, and that's when I saw the rest of their bodies. Their nails were long and fake. Illegal. Their hands were dirty and they didn't wear gloves when preparing food. Not.. Sanitary, but I doubt it's illegal. Hands on their hips like they own the world.. Attitude, attitude, attitude.

Normally, I'd pin it on stress. But they obviously weren't too stressed. While I was trying to order, an old African American man walked in. Looking like he was loaded with cash.. And those girls flocked to him.

Long story short... Horrid service.

Now. The burger, which came out with the PB blizzard.

Me, personally.. I don't like pickles, and mustard... I just wanted a burger with cheese and ketchup. So what do they do?, They give me a /smushed/ burger with pickles, mayo, onions, and horse radish. If I hadn't been so hungry, I may have given it a try.. But the point is that we paid for something and we didn't get what we expected. I stood at the counter for several minutes and when they finally took it back, they simply scraped off the condiments and gave the burger back. That's like scraping paint off of a canvas and expecting a blank canvas. Not going to happen and doesn't fix anything.

Next, /my/ blizzard. I was pissed off after the burger incident, and ended up waiting more than an hour for my sweet frozen treat. When the girl brought it out, she took it to the man in the fancy suit I mentioned earlier.. And stood there. He didn't respond and she never even went to check if the only other man in the building was it's rightful owner, and pretended my mother and I never existed. 20 minutes pass. My mother goes to ask about my blizzard, sits down, and the girl brings it to me. Although a bit melted, on the top, it looks fine. Then I start to notice a lack of flavor and food pieces. I look into my blizzard, and there's.. Just white, tasteless glop. Aka, their ice cream. No strawberry pieces, no cheesecake pieces as advertized... Nothing. We take it up there and they say that's how they've always been. When we try to protest, they turn around and leave us standing there.

Though these girls haven't always worked there, this is the experience we get every single time. If you're passing by, please. Enjoy our mediocre McDonald's.. And run. McDonald's at least has a few people who knows what they're doing.

I'll have to be drugged and hypnotized before I'll step into the parking lot of that sorry excuse for a restaurant. A shame to...

Worst DQ I have ever been to! The door had a sign that if you got the combo you could get a mini blizzard for $2. I went to my husband, who was ordering, ask him to add one it was only $2 I looked at the cashier and asked we got the combos right? She nodded. Apparantly you had to purchase a drink as well. Then she asked my husband if he wanted grilled or fried jalapenos/onions with his sandwich. He told her fried jalapenos. The fried jalapenos were burnt so my husband asked for them to be remade. The manager looked at the box and squeezed it a little and said to the cook "he said these taste burnt". They were remade and were better. We tried to talk to the cashier about the price difference and she said I didnt charge for the sale; i asked why she said because you didnt get a drink. The drink is what make the food and fries a combo. That's why i asked you if we ordered the combo!! We were up charged for everything when it was supposed to be a sale!! Horrible restaurant. Rude employees and the management was...

So. I pull up in drive thru last night. Sit at order window machine for 5min. No answer. Cool. Pull up behind truck in front of me. Notice lady taking orders on a note pad. Cool. My turn she noticed 1sec to me. Walked inside. Sat in line for 20mins. 20 mins.... no order taken. Only 3 cars in line. Me and 2 in front of me. 30min pass. I pull out and around. Go inside. Only 2 people inside. I order. Go to get my drink Dr pepper is completely water. Cool. Pour it out. Go to get sprite. It's brown. Like. Brown brown. Cool. Spilled drinks and trash all over place. A guy was standing inside the lobby waiting on his food. Flirting with the staff all laughy laughy. Smoking. SMOKING INSIDE right by the counter. Order was to go. They asked twice. Finally get my order. It was on a food tray to eat there. Even the cashier name was Mary Jane. It was a freaking train wreck. Photos to prove it. Im not front here. But I do pass thru here. And never again will I even...
