I ordered $60 worth of food on the way back from a 7 hr road trip through door dash (the only way to order without calling in) order stated 30 min completion time; I showed up 6 minutes early and was happy to wait; the kid working the front told me ten minutes which was again totally fine. At about twenty minutes of waiting Iām getting a little impatientāIāve seen several other people come in and order in front of me at the counter and gather their food in the time that Iāve been waiting as well as people get seated and have appetizers brought out to them. At thirty minutes I inquire at the front again and I am told sorry the kitchen is getting backed up it will be another 30-45 minutes. At that point it has been an hour since our initial order and thirty minutes past when our order was promised to me at my arrival to the restaurant By now Iām visibly frustrated with being jerked around and seeing many orders go out that took place after ours. When I ask to cancel our order the owner or presumed shift lead told me that I can only cancel through the app which told us that it was too late to cancel and that we couldnāt get our money back. Shift lead (or owner) took our order receipt off the line and threw it away in front of me without any sort of apology. I was simply dumb struck. Food isnāt normally bad there and itās really close to our house so Iām really bummed this happened because I wanted to be a repeat customer (and I have previously ordered from there with no issues). Weāre still trying to get our money back from door dash because two hours after we left the restaurant they marked the order as completed. The cherry on the cake is a small cockroach crawled across the front counter during my thirty minute wait⦠So all in all that absolutely sucked and I wonāt be coming back. Oh also if the owner would like to help me out with getting our $60 back that would be great. Luckily Panda Express is not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've eaten here a lot as it's not too far from home. My typical experience has been good. The food is good and well-prepared.
However, our last dine-in visit was surprisingly disappointing. We ordered the lettuce wraps which is one of our favorites. It came with five pieces of lettuce which was enough for one per person at our table. In the past it has come with more. There was way more filling than there was lettuce. But, we understood that they were probably trying to limit wasted food. We asked for more lettuce and were told there would be an extra charge for it. When we asked how much, our server wasn't sure and had to go ask a manager. We were told it would be a dollar per piece of lettuce. I realize that grocery prices have increased substantially but $1/PIECE of lettuce is ridiculous!!! An entire head is less than $2. We paid the $1/PIECE because we wanted to enjoy the rest of our lettuce wraps. But we will think twice before going there again. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had not tried Zhangs before. I enjoy a good Kung Pau Chicken and my wife had sweet and sour chicken. Having selected the dinner combo we got soup, spring roll, a shrimp and paid extra for crab puffs. I liking spicy had hot and sour soup. You would be more inclined to call it gravy. It was very thick. Tasty though I did get a spoonful of I'm not quite sure what. The egg drop was better and my wife enjoyed it.
The shrimp were large and perfectly done. That was the highlight. Spring rolls were over cooked and the cabbage was mush. The Kung Pau had good heat, but was lacking flavor. My wife's sweet and sour was heavily breaded. The sauce made the breading soggy. Flavor was not the best. She left 90% untouched. We didn't ask for to go boxes.
The wait staff were friendly and very attentive. It was clean. Masks were required. They seem to have a bigger lunch crowd according to the stats. We probably will not...
