was at the ILLINI Sunday September 24th with a party of 7. I have to say this place is really going down hill. This is the third bad experience I have had in less than a month. Today two of my guests ordered the COD dinner. The baked potato and the fish was served cold and undercooked. Also their was no soup and the salad bar was out of a lot of things. When I asked to talk to a manager about the fish a dishwasher by the name of Kyle came to the table and basically told me their was nothing he could do for me. I asked the waitress for my check and she stalled to make me wait for the owner to get there. The owner arrived and was informed of the problem. The only defense he had even though I was looking for one is the guy cooking normally doesn't cook. (WHAT!!!).

You can’t beat their wing night on Monday’s. They have more than 20 sauces to choose from and their wings are always tender and crispy. I always choose the option of parm garlic fries. It’s very convenient they have a salad bar and they start cooking around 11 PM which includes their wings. Most places don’t start cooking wings until 4 PM so it’s great. For such a small town, this place has an amazing draft beer selection. You can tell the owner does his homework with beers. There are always different beers to try since the last time you went. Ask to see the QR code to see the rest of the selection of beers. I enjoy trying different beers and I’m always pumped when a place with so many drafts has beer flights and this place does. By the way, the bar is really nice with high top seating, exposed brick and big TVs all over the place. The waitresses and staff are always friendly. Small town prices too, not like up...

Tonight is the last time I will ever come here. The last three times I have been here the food has been poor. Tonight I ordered the fried walleye. (I get walleye at most places that have it in the Illinois Valley area) The menu states fried walleye. It came out with skin on and full of bones. I was told that is how it is and they would comp me a few dollars for the meal (the meal was $21) for something that I didn't eat at all. My recommendation is they properly label their menu or have the waitress tell people as they are ordering. The time before that i had issues I ordered a 8oz ribeye steak. I asked for medium and it came out well done. I asked about it and was told "that's how it is". On top of being over cooked it was completely flavorless.
