The Family Taco — Restaurant in Marseilles

Oh my goodness. I have visited my friend in Marseilles two times a month for at least the last five years, and just recently she introduced me to this local Marseille's restaurant. Let me start by saying It's hard to find a restaurant that we both would like to eat at since she is vegetarian, and I'm not. Plus the fact that I'm not entirely a fan of Mexican restaurants. However, this restaurant menu includes some American favorites, and I have found one that I just adore. Their deluxe BLT is to die for! The three slices of bread is PAN FRIED! And the bacon is the rich, meaty bacon you get in a fine restaurant, not those skinny fatty ones that other restaurants call bacon. So delicious! I have yet to try their hamburgers, but I will update my review when I have a chance to? Here's an idea for the restaurant. Please add a "B.L.A.T" (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato sandwich) to your menu. Who knows? It might become a sandwich favorite with...

Horchata is the best thing on the menu. I was disappointed with the quality of their food. The Tortillas are gummy and bland. The Taco meat was also tasteless. The salsa was spicy but flavorless, and nobody in the restaurant even heard of red or green chile burritos. (Maybe it's just a southwest thing)

I'm from the southwest near the Mexican border so I'm used to authentic Mexican food full of flavor. I was hoping for a little taste of home.

I suppose Mexican food in the midwest has to be bland due to the pallets of the majority here in the area.

I was hoping to find a hidden gem but it was mediocre at best.

I have yet to find good Mexican food and so far I've only found Midwest's version of it. I will still be looking for authentic Mexican food.

I ordered a Burrito 🌯 And was Really Very Specific in exactly what I wanted When I went to pick it up and got back 🔙 to My Friends Place Where I was staying and visiting it was just the Total Opposite of what I ordered they did not 🚫❌ put 04 of the 05 Items I Specifically Told them what exactly I wanted!!
