Ryan's Eatery — Restaurant in Marseilles

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ryan's Eatery in Marseilles, Illinois, and I must say, it was an absolute delight!

From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The decor was cozy and intimate, with a touch of rustic charm that added to the restaurant's charm.

But what truly stole the show was the food. Oh, the food! We ordered the Port wine BBQ burger and the Deep Fried Bluegill Sandwich, and both dishes were cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and bold, and the portions were generous to say the least.

The service was also top-notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, making sure our glasses were always full and our plates were never empty.

Such a great little find in a little town near Illini State Park. We went on a Thursday night and were seated immediately. There are only 7 tables that range from 5 people to 12 at each. Food choices are very wide ranging and cover all animal proteins, along with 4 specials each night. Met the owner, Jim Ryan, as he came out to talk with each table. Funny, easy going guy. Our server, Kristen, was new there, but experienced in serving. She was very interactive and fun and knew all details of the menu. Absolutely the very best Marseilles, IL has to offer. It is a true special treasure! The food is OUTSTANDING. Everything you order is amazing and made from true ingredients not frozen. You can taste the quality in every bite. The presentation is beautiful. You get a lot of bang for your buck. The service/waitstaff is excellent as well. Everyone is very helpful, friendly and eager to please. The prices are very reasonable especially for the amount of food you get. This is a BYOB, so bring your favorite drink.
