This was one of the strangest restaurant experiences I've had, and was a bit confused due to so many 5 star ratings. My son, husband, and I came at noon on a Saturday after my son had an orchestra festival in Marshall. We rarely go out, and were excited to celebrate. The building looked very cool and my son wanted burgers, and the menu seemed to fit the bill. Upon entering, there was a sign telling us to seat ourselves. We did so at a booth that looked clean. A server immediately runs over, slaps a wet towel on the table, and says coldly, "We weren't ready for you yet." And walks off. Okay. Sorry. Anyway, another server brings menus and water. After quite some time, she finally returns for what I thought was a drink order. She took my son's drink order and then immediately left without getting an order from my husband or me. Odd. Brought soda to my son and then ran off to where I had to flag her down to get a beer. At this point, the bartender drops some glassware behind the bar CRASH!. No biggie, accidents happen. Finally get my beer, she turns to leave, we tell her we're ready for food order. My son gets a black n Bleu burger, I get the fish sandwich, my husband gets a chicken sandwich. CRASH! bartender drops more glassware. After about 30 minutes, a food runner struggling with 3 plates is propping one strangely with her chin, her face dangerously close to the food. I've literally NEVER seen someone carry plates this way, and it was as fascinating as it was horrifying. She sets them on our table. CRASH! you guessed it... more shattered glassware in the bar. At this point it feels like a sitcom. My son opens his burger and there is only a naked, sad, dry patty... no bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese etc. He's starving and clearly bummed. We eventually flag our server down, she takes his burger. It will be another 20 minutes before we see her again. My husband and I don't want to eat in front of our kid, so we wait. And wait. And offer him some of our meals. Finally, burger appears. We were never checked on, never offered more drinks. I would have loved a cocktail, but after watching every mixed drink sit on the bar for 30 minutes sweating and getting warm, i decided against it. CRASH! are you kidding me? My husband looks at me and says he can't taste anything and worries he has Covid. I said the same thing. My FISH SANDWICH with Sriracha sauce has no flavor... at all. How it's possible I'll never know. It's like we had slipped into an alternate universe. My son decides he wants dessert, and I ask if he's sure he wants to risk it. He says "it's pretty impossible to screw up a brownie with ice cream." 15 minutes after we finally get the dessert order in, a different server runs over and explains the ice cream machine and the oven that were in the same outlet exploded/ caught FIRE, so no dessert. CRASH! My takeaway here: -severely short staffed for a Saturday brunch. I've been a server/bartender and that's usually when you put on your best team. -No manager in sight to help staff and check in with guests. -huge building forcing 2 servers to run a mile each way (if you're short staffed, close off some sections, it will help a lot!) Very expensive food. $20/plate for a mediocre burger and sandwiches with no taste and over $8 for a pint of lackluster beer! If this was a Dennys, I wouldn't have cared. But for the prices charged, service and food should have been somewhat...
Read moreEaten here several times over the years and it’s very apparent the quality has gone down over the years. Ate there very recently and this was the experience.
I have no issue waiting for food when the kitchen is busy and was warned ahead of time by the hostess that was the case. Not an issue. I sat at the bar as a party of one. Placed my order for the chronic fries and roasted 1/2 Miller chicken, it comes with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal veg for $28. I stuck with those. After a 40 minute wait a waitress came to tell me they were out of the mashed potatoes, and then left. Two minutes after that my appetizer and my meal came out, a single chicken breast and bowl of Brussel sprouts. I asked for the sweet potato fries in place of the mashed potatoes and was told it would be another 10 minutes. My appetizer fries were limp and only half of them were seasoned with the glaze and cheese.
The chicken breast (not a half chicken mind you) tasted bland and lacked seasoning, Brussel sprouts were burnt and that was all you could taste. I only had a single bite of each. My only complaint about the sweet potato “fries” (really just wedges) were that they weren’t properly cleaned and still had root strings coming from the skins. I was initially going to speak to a manager but was told that the only manager that was in that day had left w/out any of the waitstaff knowing why. I did speak to a waitress regarding my meal and she did comp the meal, I did pay for the sweet potato fries as I did eat those.
The point of this review is to mention what I overheard via a waitress speaking with someone else, four of their staff have quit in the last week. The quality has gone down because both management AND the owners of GRB do not care. At all. This was once a nice place to get a meal but seems to be teetering the direction of not anymore.
One last thing… GRB recently posted on their Facebook asking other FB-ers to comment their appreciation for the staff on employee appreciation day, but they won’t take the time to show their own appreciation to their staff in ways other than fb posts. Maybe if they did they wouldn’t be losing so...

Visited on a weeknight with another couple and having been there before with my friend and recalling a good experience, we were looking forward to good meals and drinks with our husbands.
The menu has changed. No more fish tacos which we fondly recalled except for on special one night per week (not the evening we were there). They also used to have a barbecue burrito of some sort that was excellent…nope.
The menu has shrank to underwhelming with a lot of “handhelds” and very few sandwiches or anything on the menu for under $17. Even apps run $12 or more.
My friend and I were trying to eat healthy and ordered the chicken wrap. It was decent proportion but not justified by the price (I believe it was &17…for a sandwich? And that was one of the least expensive options). We asked about side options other than chips with the health interest in mind. The only veggie option for the evening was a broccoli and corn mix, but they had run out of broccoli.
We were offered side salads but at a $4 upcharge, despite no other suitable healthy side. Also, no vinaigrette, balsamic, or low fat dressing of any type, so we settled for apple cider vinegar for our salads, which was bad.
My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the bottom bun was so greasy that he couldn’t pick it up to eat it.
Worst of all, we spent over $80 for a couple of sandwiches and a few drinks, even though when we arrived, it was happy hour. And finally (not being one to waste expensive food), my husband attempted to eat the rest of his sandwich at home only to sink his teeth into a penny-sized chunk of thick bone.
Certainly not what it used to be in terms of options, quality,...
