I'd never been to the Stagecoach, I've heard alot of comment's from others I know about the food, especially the burger's. Yesterday friend's and I went there for lunch as my one friend was really feeling like having a good burger. She was concerned that my bein a vegetarian, that I'd be limited to options for lunch. I said no, you want a good burger and I've heard raves about their burger's and a burger you should have. That I'm sure that I could make something there vegetarian for me to eat as well. When we walked in at first we were only customer's, then surely more regulars started coming in as well. Our server was a very soft spoken young lady yet very informative and hardworking. She came to our table and welcomed us and also thanked us for coming in. Handing us each a menu and asking what we'd like to drink and mentioning beverage option's. She asked if we knew what we wanted or did we need some time to look at the menu? Myself and my friend had not ever been there and said we'd need a few minutes to look at the menu. She then said to, I'll just get your drink's and will come back. Just let me know when your ready, again thanking us for coming in. At that moment my friend noticed that there were vegetarian options for me to have a burger. The Stagecoach offer's a veggie burger - spicy bean or the impossible burger. This was a game changer and I was very pleased with how here a well established business in Marshall, is offering these options for those of us who don't eat meat. Where as some restuarant's are trying to make accommodations for customer's like myself and others who may be lactose, gluten or nut intolerances that could otherwise make them ill. Our server went even further, she brought me a fork and knife and explained that sometimes the bean burger's have a tendency to come apart. I thanked her and mentioned that the knife would help me to cut in half and to make it easier for me to eat. I've got one hand and it's just easier for me to eat a bigger sandwich or burger, if it's cut in half. She came and refilled our drink's and asked how was our food. Her name I could remember but, she was a wonderful server and very customer orientated. She got each of us a soda refill to go and a to go container for me to take rest of my veg burger home. This young diffently went above and beyond to make our dining experience a memorable one. I would diffently without a doubt return for another burger and try the sweet potato fries then. I'd suggest the Stagecoach, ithe food, prices and atmosphere would be well worth the drive to Marshall or to walk in if you already live here and enjoy a delicious meal combined with...
Read moreWell, this was a let down from the days of old, when a good bar burger and atmosphere were fun. The food was slopped together, took terribly long to deliver. Some didn't arrive until long after OTHER guess joined us. Anytime we were asked about needs (which wasn't often), responses lacked in follow-up. We saw that SOME had received expeditious service. And, it wasn't as though we ordered oddities. We ordered the specials and chicken strips. This wasn't brilliantly prepped filet mignon and incredible desserts. It was bar food. It appeared they were loosely shaped meat, not remotely close to cooked as asked, and a food distributer frozen chicken product. Not hand battered in a house prepped coating. Much of which lacked any flavor to insist a pinch of salt or pepper could have been somewhat meaningful. When the LATE food finally arrived (grilled cheese, I KID YOU NOT), they still didn't even bring the fries. Those literally came out after our other parties had finished their food. And yes, I asked multiple times for updates. Very kindly and courteously, I might add. Some of the service was with a smile...tho not followed up on. I guess that is acceptable when not considering serving the ordered food. I always like to have some positive to offer IF there is anything to afford others. With that stated, the spices cheese on the specialty had good flavor. All else was a fumble, at best. I'd prefer to suggest you give a different small business your time and interest in the awesome little town of Marshall. There are a ton of little gems to appreciate with good options and care for patrons. If you enjoy this establishment, then I am glad that they have a following that may enjoy a different interaction from what we received. I can accept a good bar for being a good bar, with some suitable options for food that may suffice when throwing back adult beverages. But, some should steer clear of pretending it should be of interest to those who are not under any influence and know the difference of an equal exchange for money and...
Read moreWe stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of a local. The restaurant is in a well-preserved building from 1838. The setting leads one to expect a classier place. To our disappointment, the reality was a sports bar complete with obnoxious blaring music along with televisions everywhere. The menu was ok. I don't personally consider a fish taco to be a piece of cod in a taco shell with tartar sauce, but that's what was served here. I did have a decent olive burger. The Lamb burger was indifferent. I had the sweet potato fries, which were good. The other members of our party had the standard fries, which I their words " had my sodium quota for the week" aka way oversalted. The margaritas were OK. The server was pleasant, but I could hear her discussing customers with the cook staff. Not cool. My take? Neat atmosphere. Mediocre food, especially...
