I’m local, and have had breakfast here a few times as well as dinner once. I’m pretty understanding and by no means a picky person when it comes to eating, but a few basic things bug me. First: breakfast, scrambled eggs, patty sausage, whole-wheat toast, potatoes with onion & peppers. The sausage was good, the scrambled eggs were basically a thin egg pancake folded over itself in layers. The potatoes had great flavor but they were so butter saturated it was hard to eat them. The toast was very hard and honestly reminded me of old bread. So be fair, I was starving and ate most of the plate. I guess when I order scrambled eggs I think of light and fluffy style that are Scrammbled instead of an empty omelette style. The potatoes would have been great if not bathing in tons of butter. My waitress was extremely pre-occupied and forgot my jelly tray ( no big deal ) but when I finished eating it took her 20 minutes to ask if I was done,my wife went out and waited in the car, and I waited another 15 minutes for a bill so I just left a $20 on the table. The dinner I had a month prior was meatloaf, with mash potatoes and gravy. The meatloaf came in a soup bowl over a layer of potatoes and gravy. The meatloaf honestly had no taste and the potatoes were kind of hard and the gravy was obviously canned of some type. Again, I was hungry and ate it. I like the place, it’s clean and I probably know everybody in the place but not the best food. Sorry, I really wanted to say this place is great.
Update: Stopped in and had breakfast again yesterday, the place had a nice atmosphere, people were laughing, good vibe. Waitress was fast and courteous, took my order, brought coffee, and food arrived in good time. Had 2 scrambled eggs, patty sausage, hashbrowns and white toast. The eggs again were basically an egg pancake cut up, instead of fluffy scrambled style, the sausage was good but over cooked, the hash browns were shredded style instead of home fry style like last time and they were cooked good and taste good, but the toast was again brush buttered and soaked. I scraped the butter off each piece with a knife and by the end of my meal I literally had a pond of butter on my plate. I’m sure if I had had asked for lightly buttered they would have accommodated me but man. A little pricy too at $10.25 for 2 eggs, hash browns, patty sausage n toast. I get it though, Marshall Main Street is expensive to own/rent. With just a little tweaking breakfast could be really good here. I like the place just...

Another waitress carrying cocktail sauce in cups tripped on the carpet and got sauce all over the floor, on our booth, and on my wife. Waitress rushes the table new cocktail sauce doesn't even clean the floor or aplogize to my wife. Finally a bus boy cleans part of it up doesn't ask my wife if she needs a rag. So she asks him for one and for the manager. Still leaving sauce on the carpet as other patrons walk around it staring. Finally after a good 10 min manager comes out. They weren't even busy more waitresses than seated tables. Manager finally comes out and says that the girl is pretty young and new (looked 18-19 that's not young). Okay... then offers to pay the dry cleaning bill for her clothes. Well were not from town so that's pointless and on vacation passing through. Comes back later and offers us ice cream before we even get dinner for us and the kids. What a joke. So we wait for the bill and turns out it was covered. I'm thinking that was actually nice and what should of been done from the beginning. I tell the waitress to thank the manager. She says oh he didn't cover your bill one of our patrons did. Unreal. Anyway thank you to the person that covered our bill I believe it was the lady that stopped over and said she hoped our day got better. Nice lady, sorry we were short just a bit confused by the lack of attention and careless attitude oF staff . We were really just looking for the manager to knock our appetizer off the bill. Bill was probably $50-60. Not sure I would stop again applebees probably would have been better, but I like to visit local...
Read moreIn true millennial fashion, I am always very understanding to staff at restaurants and try to give benefit of the doubt. This is the second time I have been to this restaurant in the last year, once on Father's Day. I chalked that negative experience up to it being busy, but this time the restaurant was practically empty. We ordered a Sample Platter and my parents ordered separately and was told 30 minutes... okay, that seems to be a long time for an appetizer platter, but we've ordered and paid so we will wait. 35 minutes later, we're asked from waitress- "Have you been helped? What did you order?" We explained our order. About 15 minutes later we are brought a pizza box with soggy onion rings (actually slimey when we picked them up), 2 mozzarella sticks and, a bunch of cold fries covered in cold cheese with nachos. My parents were given the wrong meals, only to be told "we ran out of what you want" when my dad asked for his correct meal. They did find a substitute, thankfully. In the end, we waited about 1 hour to get soggy/cold subpar food. Unfortunately, we will not be back.
(Picture of food does not contain the mozzarella sticks, onion rings, or chicken fingers. We really tried to salvage what we could for our family, but it was difficult with the quality. It pretty much was a box of bunch of cold food...
