Pasta Bella — Restaurant in Marshall

So we had a mixed experience at Pasta Bella. The food was good, but the service was not good. I’m sharing in the hopes the service part can be addressed. Admittedly is was busy at the restaurant, but, it is not that big of a place, there were at least 3 servers. We were a party of 5, and it took around 30 minutes for the food to ‘start’ arriving, well, for the first 2 plates to arrive. The 3rd plate arrived 10 minutes later, and plates 4 and 5 followed the same pattern, 10 minutes apart, so our food arrived over a period 30 minutes +, so some finished their food before other meals even arrived…..not good. When the first plates arrived, the server simply placed them on the table and walked away. We had to move the plates to the selected person each time. This was the pattern all evening, items would be left on the table for us to sort out passing things around. It seemed the server wasn’t experienced in restaurant etiquette. Very nice, quaint atmosphere. Our server forgot to bring multiple parts of our order, asked us if we wanted boxes and the check immediately after she brought out entrees, and was genuinely not friendly.

The main thing, the food, was the biggest disappointment though. I can't recall the last time I've been unable to eat a dish at a restaurant but that is how salty and sadly inedible the Carbonara was. Do not order the carbonara under any circumstances. I was shocked they sent this out of the kitchen and had my whole table sample it to confirm it wasn't just me.

The Tuscan ravioli was really good actually and so was the fried ravioli appetizer. A few bright spots for sure.

Want this place to succeed but they will need to improve the quality of their food and service if they hope...

We recently had our office Christmas lunch at Pasta Bella and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff went above and beyond by keeping all our Secret Santa gifts behind the counter until we were ready for them, which added a special touch to our celebration.

The food was delicious and fairly priced, making it a great choice for any occasion. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for our festive gathering.
